Wage is ~32%. Profit is ~8%. When wage goes up 25%, from $16 to $20, profit goes to ~0% unless one can raise the price and still make the sale. We lost 4 Carl Jr locations (5 mile radius) over the last year. Two have always provided excellent service.
Sacramento is now floating Prop 40. One time 5% tax on the rich. But we all know the tax is going to be permanent and expand to the rest of the population when the rich establish residency in another state. I can hang out in CA for a few months, but my permanent resident is in TN, Nevada, or TX.
