Having said that, the quality was great until it wasn't and mine has been trashed after several years. It started having issues brewing that were at first intermittent before getting worse and basically bricking it. Basically it would 'finish' and turn itself off within 2 minutes of starting a brew. I tried to look up repairing it and passed.
I know that this is a different product and maybe their QA/QC has changed but I would recommend passing. Sure, this one is a higher price tag and fancier and what should anyone expect out of a $20 coffee maker except that I never used the kcup attachment and only did carafes of coffee and have seen coffee makers at ski house rentals more than double my age that were still kicking. Did I get a lemon? Maybe, but for me the brand is hot trash so it is a hard pass.
