I've been watching this model so closely and I can't believe this computer is a whopping 2 years old now and it went UP in price. Of course, AI boom influenced it, but dang... I can't justify just yet. Does anyone (especially if you work for ASUS) know when the NEXT GEN of this laptop is coming out!??!?! This model just won't break the $2100 price floor when on sale. Please please please let us know!!!

What's crazy is I was able to snag a g14 rtx 5080 with 2TB for the same price. This is an awesome device for the form factor but the price is impossible to justify

I have a Z13 purchased from a previous sale and it is a great tablet. It can run AAA games, AI models, and just about anything you can throw at it. If you want one device that can be and do everything, this is it.

Yes, it feels a little pricey, but consider the competition with similar specs:

* Microsoft Surface Pro (Intel) 64GB/1TB: $4889.99
* Microsoft Surface Pro (Snapdragon) 64GB/1TB: $3699.99
* Lenovo x13 32GB/512GB (no 64GB SKU): $3039.99
*Macbook Pro 14" 64GB/1TB: $3699.99

The reality is that memory prices are through the roof and not coming down anytime soon. Even though it's a year old, the Z13 is an incredibly capable machine for its price point, especially against similar tablets.

The iGPU is a beast but the tablet form factor makes it thermally limited. 64GB is the right memory capacity for daily use. Memory bandwidth is too slow for AI really

I think the right idea is to view this as an oversized gaming handheld rather than a gaming laptop

And just think, for a mere $1200 more, you can get the 128gb model of this tablet over on Amazon. Crazy times, indeed.

This is spot on. The tablet is something along the lines of the AYANEO NEXT 2 handheld that has the same specs.

i think new versions of the AI max are going to drop in the next 6 months, and if you've held out this long it might be worth holding out a little longer. the 32gb version isn't very useful for the price and open boxes of this 64gb have been available for 1600-1800.

I suggest putting a deal alert on it. AI boom has made everything expensive.

Look at the housing in the bay area.

~250GB/s might be a bit slow for AI, but it'll be faster than a RTX 5090 if the model cannot fit in RTX 5090's 32GB VRAM.

It depends on the AI you want it to do. If you want to run an autonomous agent, it might be slow, but can load a better model (or more simultaneous models, such as an image/video generator or text-to-speech) than the discrete video cards.

I got it from a previous deal and just installed a matte screen protector from Via Screens. Looks awesome.
