Even if I could take advantage of this deal, I'd lose my cablecard I'm grandfathered into. If some agent there messes with my account and I lose the flag for that, I can never get it back apparently. I can't even switch to an internet package with unlimited data, I'm stuck on one with a 1.2TB cap still. I hope when the political winds change we get someone in the FCC again that will require them to support cablecards again.
In the meantime, I'm thinking about getting a secondary connection from a local fiber competitor just to avoid the cap since I do large backups and use streaming on my tv a lot more than I used to.
But it beat the xfinity $40 that I currently have.

Just got Verzon for my new place. $30/month and $100 Amazon GC. They did charge a $100 installation fee though.... Boo
But it beat the xfinity $40 that I currently have.
It worked. They waived the $99 fee and switched it to a self-install.
Here is my Xfinity mobile rant.
I know that every single rep I've ever talked to and chatted with must have their pay based on signing people up. It feels really slimy to me the way they push their mobile service so hard.
When I switched to a new $50/month plan a few months back, no one could shut down my old line, 4 chat sessions and no one actually did it. Then I agreed to sign up for mobile service, at that point they were quick to fix my service.
I have zero plans to activate my new line, so they even started calling me daily to get me to activate the line. They had an actual human call me. It is super impossible to talk to an actual human at Comcast, but spare no expense on selling a new mobile line. I finally had to block their number.
