Just be vigiliant, make sure you are looking at the screen they are entering info into and decline, decline, decline any upsells, no matter how hard they try to push it.

Obvioulsy would be easier if you could do this online yourself, but for some, probably worth the hassle of the store visit to get it.

Agreed. They tried for so long to get us off the original military plan (prior to the miltary+ or militaryONE). Before they rug pulled us; we were paying $120/month for 4 lines unlimited TTD. It was always great going by mobile sellers because I would always just say "I'm grandfathered with Tmobile" and they would immediately leave me alone. Then out of the blue they just change the ToS on us and "eliminated all grandfathered plans". Ha ha what a joke.

One thing I don't like about metropcs - cannot swap Sim cards at will as the imei is tied to the Sim. And requires changing all the time.

What that directly on T-Mobile or did it affect MetroPCS customer. I am on a really old plan 4 line for $120 with Amazon Prime included and so far there has been no push to current plans or any notification of changes to my current plan.
Thanks.

AFAIK it was only on tmobile directly, for now. Metro is tmobile network so I'm sure it will follow 'trickle down economics'. Wink

Same plan here. I've had it for years. Scared to even look into new phone plans.

you need to PORT IN A PHONE
bring your own phone and its only for 3 months??? how does this makes sense. only worth 50 bucks max for this deal.

porting is expensive and annoying today not worth it at all you need to pay at least 5-10 dollars bare min and then spend 1-2 hrs porting everything and not everything works. all for 50 bucks worth of service and also in store makes it even worse makes it take 3 hours. in total at least.

if it was at bare min 1 yr maybe but this crap isn't worth shit dont forget they made 20 dollar and 25 dollar plan non metro phones only if you read the terms they blocked out the imei i had to file a charge back in dispute since metro fuking around

Porting is expensive? doesn't cost anything to port a number out if you're not locked into any kind of contract.

A hassle, maybe, but I honestly can't say all your other concerns are really valid here. By the way, if you have all the correct info to give the new carrier from the old carrier, ports take very little time and your phone continues to work on your old carrier until such time the new carrier takes over your number.

Agreed. Funny that T-Mobile keeps offering to switch me to T-Mobile directly.
My needs are met with my current plan.
I only wish that hotspot would roll over so I can bank what I don't use, at least like a rolling 3 months or so, for the rare times that I need it.
