It's a good deal. Having said that, my regular shoe is the Max 2. I gave the Max 3 a couple of weeks for walking and running. First in a long time that I started feeling pain in my feet. Something just felt off like it was designed for a different pronation or for a different strike point. It could have also just been me. I never had that issue with the Max and Max 2. I decided to return the Max 3 and bought a couple extra Max 2 pairs from regional stores so I can keep using that model until I have to figure out my next shoe model.
I bought a pair of Brooks Max 3s on sale. I also have some Ghost 17 shoes and I switch between for morning 10Km walks. I've had some plantar fasciitis in the past & I think it's a good idea to bounce between different shoes. Whenever I wear the Maxs, they feel fine, nothing special. But the next day when I go back to the Ghosts, my feet feel like they're being massaged. I do like the black top on the Maxs because they don't show dirt. BTW- They're both neutral and easy to run in.
