Clear blue for $32. Hoping it works with switch 2?
Not sure if it will wake the Switch 2, but I use my black Ultimate 2 Wireless as a second controller with the 2.4Ghz dongle. Once the Switch 2 is powered on you can connect the controller by pressing the power button + Y, then press the two bumpers. I am using the latest controller firmware. We also have the Ultimate 2 Bluetooth version and it will wake the Switch 2.I ordered the Clear Blue a few days ago from Amazon Resale for $35 I think, it will be here today. I plan to use it with my Brook XB3 adapter on my Xbox Series X.

I didn't NEED the Clear Blue one but I am a sucker for that color combo. Reminds me of a pager case (I'm old).

For those that are looking for a Resale one and can't find, keep checking periodically.

Thank you. Seems like it will work and read other forums to configure on PC first. Probably several ways to get it to work ; it'll be fine. That clear blue is def retro and back in the day I never liked that clear plastic look but now I kinda do! if you're old, that means I am too so I have to disagree!

maybe I'm still a little traumatized by the madcatz days, but I just can't seem to get myself to invest in third-party controllers
Third party controllers have come such a lot way since those days. There are still some really cheap ones for sure but a few brands (8bitdo, GameSir, Mobapad, EasySMX, etc.) have controllers that are less expensive than first party controllers and beat them out in almost every category.

Did you know that all 3 first party game controllers still use the drift-prone potentiometer sticks, even the $90 Switch 2 pro controller. Hell even the $150+ Xbox Elite controller or the $200 Dualsense Edge still use those. Meanwhile GameSir and 8bitdo have options that cost just $20 that have hall-effect sticks.

When you start to learn about what these 3rd party controllers offer for the price and you start using them, you'll be the exact opposite of your original statement. I can't justify spending money on 1st party controllers anymore (except for my PS5 cause there aren't any good alternatives)

all of that makes sense to me on a technical level, and I'm sure eventually I'll bite the bullet. But for now I have pretty good coverage for all my devices so it is what it is

Comparisons vs this controller?

I am a PC game pass only user. Don't play on steam much.

I'm I the only one who is hopelessly confused with all of 8Bitdo similar (but often completely different naming conventions? The idea this and the 8Bitdo Ultimate 2C are barely similar just baffles me.

FWIW, I love 8Bitdo but their product lines are a freaking guessing game when it comes to features. Even something so simple as branding, Switch and Xbox, causes huge underlying feature differences such as gyro, analog triggers, etc. Same model #, completely different controller. They just need to have 5-6 SKU's (outside of color), not 30. Especially if they won't clearly spell out the differences in the nomenclature.

Not just you, I bought the Ultimate 2 Wireless for my Wife to use on the Switch 2 only to find that it does not wake it. The Ultimate 2 Bluetooth is the one that will do that. Both have Bluetooth and both come with a dock and 2.4Ghz dongle. The main physical differences I noticed are the button layout and color (Switch layout vs Xbox, white vs color), and the U2W Bluetooth has LEDs on the bottom indicating 1,2,3,4.

Not just you, I wish they had more distinct names too!

I have 2 8bitdo controllers and I love them over Xbox and PS5 controllers for some reason. I don't need anymore but I'm tempted just because I like the color.
