$600 off any condition trade on most voice plans

A phone rep said it should work for both iPhone and Android device upgrades without adding a line or changing plan. But it didn't work for me online or at a Costco kiosk.

For Costco members:
Login to Costco, then go through "Upgrade device" on this page to make the deal sweeter ($100 Costco shop card): https://www.costco.com/f/-/t-mobi...d-showcase
I don't see a place to add a trade-in device when I go through Costco. It replaces the $930 promo with $100 Costco shop card promo which is not worth it. Likely because promo terms say "May not be combinable with some offers, discounts, or promotions"

Some users reported success by adding the new phone with trade-in device to the cart first, then following the Costco link to check out. I didn't try that as I didn't want to risk losing the $930 off.

This is a targeted T-Mobile trade-in promo for legacy accounts, best for customers on grandfathered plans who can keep their current rate and use bill credits over 24 months, or 36 months on newer plans. The strongest reports show up to $930 off, with some accounts getting smaller credits like $600, $730, or $899 depending on plan and eligibility. Costco can waive activation fees and sometimes stack a $100 shop card, though the Costco flow may replace the main promo unless the cart is handled carefully. The main caveat is that many Simple Choice, One, Magenta, Go5G, and migrated accounts never see the offer or only get reduced terms, so eligibility is highly account specific.

Seems like a nice deal if you're an existing customer on a nice grandfathered TMO postpaid plan or have a 3+ line plan, if you know you're not moving soon, and happy with service. But a lot of people should know the MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) have become insanely competitive over the past few years, and the best data plans for the price, for >90% of people, are there. MVNOs use the same towers as the Big 3 (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile), and the higher tier plans often have the same QCI (Quality of Service Class Identifier) priority as the the premium big carrier postpaid plans. However, they usually come with a significant price discount. MVNOs are often owned by the Big 3 carriers themselves, just different branding, pricing, and customer service departments. The danger with these "$800 off", $1000 off" or "X phone on us" plans is that you are technically financing a phone at 0% interest on an EIP (equipment installment plan) and then getting monthly bill credits over 36 months. While they can claim you are not paying for the device, you are really paying for it with your (almost always overpriced) service plan. Furthermore, your hands are tied for 36 months, and the phone is locked for 3 years unless you decide to pay it off directly at the prorated full price. There are two key things to keep in mind if you like fast, unlimited data and you're shopping around: 1) Many or most plans on MVNOs or Big 3 Carriers have "unlimited data" but will either deprioritize, severely throttle, or cut off your data after a threshold (25, 30, 50 GB, etc). There are higher tier plans on both MVNOs and Big3 Carriers that won't do this, and they generally advertise "unlimited premium data" at highest speeds. 2) Some MVNOs have standard or lower prioritization across all their plan tiers. For example, Metro by T-Mobile and Mint use the T-Mobile network towers, but get QCI 7 (standard/de-prioritized data) and will always be less prioritized than people on QCI 6 (Google Fi across all tiers). Don't compare QCI between different networks (Verizon, TMO, AT&T) but rather within the network among its postpaid, prepaid, and MVNO plans. This comment is already way too long, but most people are better served by a plan that 1) has best QCI prioritization (lower number is better) for their premium data allotment, or ideally, unlimited premium data at lowest possible QCI number for best priority. Off the top of my head, the Visible+, Visible+ Pro, and the US Mobile higher tier plans will do this and give you unlimited premium data. Go ask your favorite AI/LLM/search engine/omniscient oracle and do your own research. Just don't blindly pay $50, $60, $80, $100 for a line every month when you could get something that's equal or better for way, way less.
ppl constantly say this, and it is almost never true if you're on a family plan with many lines, which is hardly rare. Typically you'll pay around $30/line or so and many people have managed to get below that on TMo thanks to free line promotions, among other things. tiring to see constant shilling for MVNOs as if, specifically, people that use the daily deals site are unaware of their pricing or of the trade-offs when taking advantage of carrier-subsidized pricing on new phones.

Costco app just push alerted me to the deal. Loads TMO Costco page in Costco app. Shows ad for deal. Click "pre-order now" on ad. External link warning. External link is MIA. LOL

"Get full terms" actually loads in-app and shows me COMPLETELY DIFFERENT terms, some worse, some actually BETTER. I don't want to post until they fix their issue and I can confirm.

how do you sync your t-mobile account to Costo app ?

I've got 5 lines for $125/month taxes&fees included.Unlimited Premium data qci 6, & 60gb of hotspot. 36 month EIPs are only on the new 2.0 plans. Just got $930 off an 18Pro, a free iPhone 17 in March, and my Pixel 9 ProXL 256gb was $200 after Pixel 6 Pro trade in.
What plan are you on? Im on a SC plan with 5 lines with 2 of them supposed to be free and a $10 data and $15 watch line paying near $200

Anyone with the Essentials plan qualify? One person earlier in this thread said they only saw a $300 off offer.

Yes of course. That's why I figured let message them. They said they are not always emailing every account but willing to work with members who have long term standing. I still need to wait for the final promotion to be applied but so far I got back $70 for the 2 lines due to the $35 processing fee
I hate to said this to you, but I think you are gonna be looking at 3 years of headache in calling Tmobile for this supposed credit. And everytime they will say it will reflect on the next bill but it didn't so you will have to call them back again and again.

Experience Signature Military, forced over from Sprint One Military, with a free line I had from Sprint. T-Mobile doesn't give Military/First Responders free lines/Bogos unfortunately.

Wrong.
This is for legacy plans that are still on 24 month EIPs.
