This is overkill for gaming. The best processor right now is the ryzen 7 9850x3d and that'll get you 10 plus years when paired with the right mother board and ram Newegg has a combo for that processor, a motherboard, and 32 gb of ddr5 ram fir a decent price

I wish the MinisForum F1FGM mobo released - faster than this CPU, although it only supports 4 RAM slots vs some eATX ; another manufacturer made a 2-channel version of the 9955HX
