Great deal! Bought the exact same 55" bundle for $1200 back in May and love it as my desk monitor. Had so many HDMI handshake issues with LG C4, C5, and Samsung S90F connected to my Macbook Pro. The G5 has been perfect.

I'd wait a couple months until the c6 65 is 1100-1200. It's worth the extra to get a C series IMO. 55 is too small unless you are sitting right in front of it, have a horrid built in (rip it out) or are using it in a bedroom or something. I don't sit 4 feet from my TV's though.

I paid $1200 from AMZ in May and can whole-heartedly recommend the G5 series. Had an older C and the G blows it away. Will tide me over until '29-ish when the G8 drops in price. At $1K, it's a great deal. Reports say the G6 is not light years better, so I wouldn't wait for that to drop to this price level; pull the trigger!
FYI, there is no stand so you can use the LG wall mount or get your own.
