I have this hat (without logo) and I use it when doing yard work. I stay cooler than with a baseball hat. I like that the height of the hat isn't too high but I wish it fit a little more snug without using the strings as winds can blow it away. I think I have a medium to medium-large head circumference.

Inexpensive enough to hope it fits my Sputnik head and not worry about returning if it doesn't.

Yeah that's the problem with hats with brims big enough to keep the sun off you without a chin strap the wind catches them.

That's why riding with a cowboy hat full blast was a joke in old western movies, they must of used staples to keep it on those heads.

The coolest hat I have purchased is a Filipino style pith helmet which has the largest brim of all the variance.

The India style isn't bad.

It's going to cost you about $50 bucks, has sizes, unfortunately the chin straps on are decorative you'll have to figure out a way to add one because it has the same wind problem.

What you get and it's cooler than a straw hat is, a pit helmet doesn't sit directly on your head there's a harness system like a construction hat inside.

It creates an air channel all around your head and the hat.

So the hat allows just the slightest breeze to blow up between the hat and your head to the top which should have a working air vent.

Some helmets only have a fake vent for looks only.

I believe the original ones circa 1900s the air vent could actually be twisted closed.

You just need the button cap to allow air flow.

By the way don't get a sraw hat wet, it can swell the woven straw, when it dries it will shrink fall apart, giving you a beachcomber look.

The tighter the weave the quicker you'll ruin the hat.

I have searched and searched for the most cool wearing hat to cut grass, fish.

Found a bunch at my local store and grabbed one. It is much heavier than the Quiksilver and Volcom straw hats I have but seems like it would be more durable.

Welp, not even close. We'll see whether one of my kids can wear it.

So this happens a lot. I order the hats on Walmart plus and later I get a text that the item is unavailable. When I order the item it says available. I stop my searching for the item- but then I have to restart my search and pay more from somewhere else. I should be given a rain check or a substitution of my choosing for wasting my time on Walmart plus

And I forgot to say - I called Walmart to complain and got put on the phone with some AI machine- pretending to be a real person which wasted 20 more minutes of my time- finally I was transferred to a real person in the Philippines who I went through 4 similar orders that were cancelled due to unavailability of product and she said it has something to do with glitches in their website
