I bought this last time it was this price. At least the one I got was HUGELY inaccurate compared to my DEXA scan.It got the fact right that its my mid section that has all the fat and not the limbs, but how much fat and muscle was totally wrong compared to DEXA.
Keep in mind that Dexa scans are estimations as well, though probably a lot more accurate estimations than these scales. For example, the liver is included in lean muscle mass. If you lose weight, especially using a GLP-1, and the scan says that you lost lean muscle mass, it may actually be losing fat in the liver. Nick Norwitz on YT is one of the people who addressed this.

This one tells you exactly how fat you've gotten, how quickly you're expanding, and what percentage of you is pure flab. It uses dual frequencies to really prove how rotund you are. And it shows 5 sections of your body, so you can see how every part of you is pudgy.
in other words, a one time use product

This scale isn't listed, but this guy on YouTube did a comparison of a bunch of these versus his DEXA scan...might be helpful for any of those interested in finding a scale that gets as close as possible.

Yeah but when Dexa said I was ~25% body fat and my other scale said I was ~26% and GE tells me 16% with the physique of Arnold Schwarzeneger, and I look in the mirror and see Danny Devito, I think the GE is off.

Not saying that this scale is accurate and Dexa is off. This is probably way more off than Dexa. Best way to verify the Dexa results is to take off your shirt and look in a mirror. Your eyes will validate the Dexa results or tell you if they are inaccurate estimations.

I expect these scales to be a hot Black Friday item. I wouldn't be surprised if this was $39.99 for Black Friday
With prime day coming up again maybe it'll go down further then

In the past I've just put these items on my FSA and never had any pushback about it. I mean its literally for monitoring your health, same as a blood pressure monitor.
Same here. I just submitted it to my hsa and they reimbursed me for it.

I bought this one. Nice solid scale. A bit bulky though. The readings are same as my $25 Ektecity scale.

Only difference is it gives me estimates of different parts of the body and it aligns with what I see in the mirror.

I went to a deep dive with these with these 8 electrode scales last time this one was on sale out of curiosity and and there's not 1 consensus on which scale actually performs as stated in their description. The best one is the home use inbody scales but thats $300-500. I'll pull the trigger on this licenced GE scale if it was like $40 though.Might as well wait for Nov.

any thoughts on this deal vs this scale https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09HCJD6H1 ??
the other one has wifi and a million reviews. I really do not need the 8 sensor functionalities.

I have a scale that does body fat, protein, muscle weight etc..etc.... What really made me realize these things have fictious values is that mine has a "athlete" mode.. Says if you work out 5+ days a week then you should check it. Totally changes the resulting output values. No way you can rely on scales like this for accurate measurements.
actually the "athlete mode" as one of the requirements has
Resting Heart Rate: Having a resting heart rate of 60 beats per minute (bpm) or lower.
That is harder to clear - you may be working out much but if RHR BPM (as reported by e.g. smart watch) is not low -> no athlete

i think this one is variation on Renpho scales. The Renpho app recognizes both this GE CS10H and another one FitIndex FA-03 that i got from https://www.ebay.com/itm/396899297604 (notice the seller is RenphoOfficialStore which sells mostly Renpho products but as a side hustle a few others like Fitindex). I get the impression they have common source, even apps look very similar (though not identical)
