Same price on Amazon. As someone who uses a popsocket and finds holding the phone with a battery on it without a popsocket cumbersome, this looks good in theory. But reviews say it doesn't last long.

I'm kind of deep in popsockets but don't see the utility of this. I have the MagSafe wallet and a separate MagSafe wallet. I just take the wallet off if I want to charge it. I can even piggy back it to the back of the battery if I really wanted to.

Just buy a different battery pack.

Why? Just deal without a popsocket when you have to charge. NBD. And yeah. Unfortunately popsockets don't last long. But they do have pretty good customer service with replacing them if you have issues.

I personally can't imagine holding a phone with an external battery attached to it regardless of popsocket or not. I'd rather just put the batter in my pocket with a USB-C cable to the phone.

That's what I currently do, but it would be nice (not necessary) to have a popsocket on the battery. The reviews I saw were about the battery portion failing. It's probably better to get a more reliable battery and add a sticky popsocket to it.
