I tested the capacity of the FIFA version. It's around 55wh, which is consistent with their statement in small text, but not the stated 72 wh.

What's the best way to easily test it

I like these powerbanks that have built in cables, it's a lot easier to transport.

If you need USB PD 3.1 EPR for 140W (28V@5A) then the unit you linked to is the better buy. I bought the unit in this thread early this year for a bit less and it's been great for what it is. However, I was disappointed that it only supports PD 3.0 and the 140W max single output is via a non-standard 20V@7A. Because it's not a part of the official standard, not many devices can take advantage of the 7A and will max out at 5A (100W).

I do agree with you but the way this cable is built is kinda awkward. I have this exact model

ah, I see that now from the pictures, it does look awkward with the loop. The one I have folds nice and flat into a dedicated location.

Looks like only the top built in cable does 100w? Was hoping to use this in a carry on but that cable would be too short to stay in the bag and reach anywhere useful
The FIFA version label on the back of the battery says "output usb-c1/c2 140w Max, USB-A 30w Max, dual output c1+c2 125w + 65w (190w Max), c1+A 125w + 30w (155w Max), c2+A 20w Max"..
So I'm assuming c2 is just as capable as c1 if you're not using usb-A at the same time as USB c-2..

There's an image in the product information that indicates both the built in cable and the usb-c port do up to 140W out in single-port mode.. so it looks like this one's the exact same model as the Fifa-branded one. In other words, great input/output. 100W input is super nice for being able to top the battery off in short order vs waiting hours.

The USB-C port itself is also bidirectional so if something happens to the built-in cable, it can still be recharged and isn't e-waste.
Haven't opened mine but it appears that it uses 4x 21700 cells internally.
I'd open it and test it because the first FIFA branded one I got came DOA

I think it's common knowledge that efficiency is lost through heat when charging. 72wh worth of battery cells are never going to charge another device(s) by 72wh.

I got 59.6wh discharging at 75W for part of the time (~1/3), 65W for part of the time (~1/3), and 50W for the rest of the time (~1/3). It was overheating and shutting down so it wasn't a continuous test (it wasn't recharged, just had breaks to cool)

With a 30W continuous load I got 62.76wh.

Recharging took 74.24wh.

With an electronic load. I use this: https://atorch-electric.com/atorc...ecker-app/
They're around $30 on AliExpress when on sale after coupon. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/22...09316.html Note that this electronic load itself can't turn on a USB-C PD output, or set the PD output voltage. You need something like this: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32...59801.html

It gets pretty warm charging at 65W. What is your criteria for "hot"?

FWIW, this overheats if you try to get anywhere near 100W for some minutes. I pulled 75W with an electronic load (using ~20V @ ~3.75V) and it overheated and turned off the output after 16 minutes. It didn't feel that warm to the touch. I let it rest a few minutes and resumed pulling 75W and it shut down again in about another 2.5 minutes. I let it cool down and set the load to 65W. Shutdown @ 65W happened in ~18 minutes.

Pulling 30W continuously did not result in it shutting off.

By open I mean open the enclosure and look at the innards. I've used it plenty. It's been great.

Most 20,000mAh (~72-74wh) advertised power banks I've tested put out in the low 60wh range (~62-24). There are outliers though.
