This Verizon Pixel 11 Pro deal is mainly about getting a flagship Pixel at a steep upfront discount, with the best value coming from store pickup, activation, and then canceling the line after verifying unlock status. The phone can work with other carriers like Google Fi, Mint, T Mobile, or Xfinity once unlocked, and the account often shows it as paid in full. The main catch is Verizon's confusing unlock behavior, since shipped orders sometimes stay locked for days or 35 days, and the bootloader remains permanently locked. Cancellation can also trigger full month bills or bill adjustments that may need chat support.

  • Shoppers planning to use Google Fi or another non-Verizon eSIM, because the phone can work unlocked after activation and accept other carriers.

  • Buyers comfortable activating in store and canceling quickly, because store pickup often verifies unlock immediately and leaves only a small prorated bill.

  • People who want a discounted Pixel and are willing to keep the line active until cashback posts, because the upfront price can be offset by a large new-line credit.

  • Pixel buyers who want a flagship Android for everyday use, because it runs a clean OS with regular updates and doesn't need custom ROMs.

  • Custom ROM tinkerers who need an unlockable bootloader, because Verizon units keep the bootloader permanently locked.

  • Buyers who need immediate out-of-box eSIM flexibility, because some shipped units stay locked until activation or a later unlock request clears.

  • Shoppers who want to cancel the Verizon line without any billing follow-up, because full-month bills and manual charge adjustments can still show up after cancellation.

  • People relying on a quick, guaranteed unlock for resale or a gift, because some orders still show locked for days and may need escalation or a 35-day wait.

Did you try to add the esim via the US Mobile app? Wondering if it matters...
Yes. That's what I meant by automated process that hung.

I haven't tried to activate it. Going to wait until this weekend, but I have Dark Star (ATT). Wonder if that will make it any smoother?

Just for anyone on US Mobile with Dark Star (ATT). Setup had no problems. Just added new sim via US Mobile app. Got email in 30 seconds. Scanned QR code to add new esim. All set.

Just want to add my experience with this deal.

I purchased for in-store pickup. Verizon never sent me a confirmation that my pickup was ready, but when I checked my order status the next day it was available in my local store. The pickup was painless; they checked my ID, grabbed the phone, and I was out of the door in less than five minutes, no upselling. After I got home and activated the phone on Verizon, I waited a few hours and was then able to install a trial Google Fi eSim no problem, confirming it was not carrier-locked. The Verizon website also showed my device being paid in full. I waited until the following day to chat with a Verizon rep to cancel.

The chat process is where things started to go awry. I spent over an hour on the chat just to cancel my service and try to ensure I was not charged for the full first month. The chat agent never seemed to fully understand what I was asking for (prorated credit for the remainder of the month). I pointed her to the return policy but she just kept talking about the activation fee. Finally, she seemed to understand, and in the disconnect confirmation link she sent me it showed a credit for the unused portion of the first month of service. She said this would be reflected in my bill within a few hours. The next day, I tried to check my bill to make sure the credits went through. However, since my account was now cancelled, I was unable to log in on the main page; I had to do some Googling to realize that cancelled accounts have to log in at https://secure.verizon.com/access...ectedStart After logging in there, I could see that my bill was still for the full amount. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) To make matters worse, the chat window does not appear to function corrrectly when you are logged in with a disconnected account.

So ultimately I had to call customer service and make my way to an agent. Thankfully, he immediately grasped what I was asking for and confirmed that the previous agent did not actually make the requested adjustment. He submitted the credit and said it would show up in 3-5 business days. I can't confirm this went through yet, but I am much more confident this time.

TL;DR: great deal, worked out for me, but Verizon's customer service can make things harder than necessary

My service doesn't even let me log in it says information not found when I try to log into the disconnected line and I'm still getting that contact cerizon when trying to activate a esim error but Google Fi trial works. Seems that it is still locked as oem unlocking is grayed out, they said they send me a return prepaid label to mail it back no restocking fee so I am going to do that. They don't even have my information in the system so I doubt this will automatically unlock. It's locked to Verizon and the Verizon door soldiers or another forum are blaming me for being a loser and not buying a unlocked phone and preaching to me how Verizon is cracking down. Oh well

The OEM unlocking under developer option is for whether you want to unlock the bootloader or not. That will be grayed out for Verizon so pixel phones for perpetuity. Your phone is carrier unlocked as Fi is working. Now you had to deal with Mint to figure out how to transfer the eSIM or get a new one. If nothing works, you can port you mint number to Fi and then use it on this phone and then port it back to Mint. You decided to return the phone instead. You do have to deal with big carriers and figure things out if you want such big discount on phones which is just released.

Verizon locks the bootloader permanently. That doesn't reflect the carrier unlock status.

A quick Google search surface this https://www.reddit.com/r/Visible/s/RghZxPs5Yu, look at the last comment about the push method from Mint website where you might have able to put the IMEI and then they push an eSIM to the phone.

They remove the Google AI pro Promo as well after cancelling the line - Can others confirm? My device remains unlocked after line cancellation (4 days after activation), though not sure if they play foul after 30 day billing cycle. Can people throw some light?

What if 2 months of service is not continued, will they cancel the promo price too?

So in that picture that you posted, if you tap the "Use a different SIM" button under "Done" does it not pop into the QR reader? Everything you've said indicates that the phone is unlocked.

I was able to transfer my usmobile service onto my pixel 11 and cancelled verizon service. Now the final bill came and is for the full month. Called in twice to adjust it to be prorated, and even the rep said they saw the notes detailing the proration, but that they could not do anything about it and to wait for it to be applied the next billing cycle (which there is none obviously). Any one else able to get this addressed by phone or is there a better route?
Update from this customer service fiasco. Chat function is not enabled anymore since we have to login through the "disconnected line" website, thus we have to go through calling in, which I did again.

Kind of frustrating since you have to go through an AI bot that sounds human and repeatedly ask for a human agent. The human rep put me on hold while he tried to apply a credit and/or adjust my full bill (~$51) to the 2 days of service. Said he could not and that I would eventually receive a credit on my next bill and then I could request a check be cut/sent back to my credit card. He told me not to pay the current bill if I didn't want to pay now even though the subsequent bill would not be generated until after the due date.

All of this was pretty confusing as I could see my next estimated bill already on the website and it didn't show any pending credits. Anyways, I'm already expecting to have to call again through this nightmare customer service tree once the next bill posts.

A few days after I cancelled an updated bill posted for under $10. I must've been lucky I never needed to call in for any of it, which was actually pretty shocking.
