Visit the deal page on a desktop browser. Also do store pick up if possible to get the phone unlocked right away otherwise you might have to wait for 35 days for unlock.

You can select new customer and pay in full to get the $480 price. You can then select simplicity plan. Once you get the phone you can just cancel the line. Verizon unlocking policy states the devices are unlocked immediately if you pay in full. Their cancellation policy states no activation fee within 3 days and then only prorated charges if you cancel your line within 30 days.

***You might have to wait for 35 days before the phone is unlocked if you don't do store pickup in person as Verizon considers their online store purchase with delivery not secure. You can cancel your line nonetheless as the device will still unlock automatically after 35 days****

Community Reviews

This Verizon Pixel 11 Pro deal is mainly about getting a flagship Pixel at a steep upfront discount, with the best value coming from store pickup, activation, and then canceling the line after verifying unlock status. The phone can work with other carriers like Google Fi, Mint, T Mobile, or Xfinity once unlocked, and the account often shows it as paid in full. The main catch is Verizon's confusing unlock behavior, since shipped orders sometimes stay locked for days or 35 days, and the bootloader remains permanently locked. Cancellation can also trigger full month bills or bill adjustments that may need chat support.

I think there is chance the phone will be unlocked out of the box.

Besides Fi being useless, it's expensive & I'm getting Spectrum for free.
Is it only for new customer or existing only? Also can you just cancel after 1 year? Whats the catch

I think so too but if not a simple activation on Verizon should make it unlocked.

The biggest catch with any spectrum deal is you need to have cable internet with them which many don't.

Has anyone tried doing this and succeeded in cancelling without a clawback? Or too early to say?

generally ATT and TMobile ones can be bootloader unlocked, but I didn't check the pixel 11 series.
I guess it doesn't matter. I just learned today that P11 will not be supported by Graphene OS due to hardware limitation. Will be waiting for Motorolas next year I guess.

How do you trigger the $480 price? I added the Pixel 11 and the Simplicity plan, but it's charging me $899.99.

It clearly says on the checkout page that the discount of $620 will appear in 1-2 billing cycles, which implies that if you cancel before that there will be a clawback. I have done these type of deals in the past but I have a feeling this one isnt going to work out so I'm going to skip this one. Excited to hear other people's experiences and hopefully its a success!

But "due today" is already discounted, so there's nothing to appear later. In fact it says "credit may appear in 1-2 billing cycles" - but there's no credits to appear neither.

Anyone do the purchase and cancellation in-store? It's too shady otherwise.

I don't want to be stuck with a Verizon plan.

Currently bootloader locked pixels are locked for life - no matter the carrier.
Source? I'm pretty sure this is not true. I'll know for sure in about 3 weeks, as I have a carrier locked (non-Verizon) Pixel 10 that will be unlocking.
