Visit the deal page on a desktop browser. Also do store pick up if possible to get the phone unlocked right away otherwise you might have to wait for 35 days for unlock.

You can select new customer and pay in full to get the $480 price. You can then select simplicity plan. Once you get the phone you can just cancel the line. Verizon unlocking policy states the devices are unlocked immediately if you pay in full. Their cancellation policy states no activation fee within 3 days and then only prorated charges if you cancel your line within 30 days.

***You might have to wait for 35 days before the phone is unlocked if you don't do store pickup in person as Verizon considers their online store purchase with delivery not secure. You can cancel your line nonetheless as the device will still unlock automatically after 35 days****

Community Reviews

This Verizon Pixel 11 Pro deal is mainly about getting a heavily discounted flagship and then verifying carrier unlock after activation. The strongest upside is the low out of pocket price, with store pickup and immediate activation often leading to an unlocked phone that works with Google Fi, Mint, T Mobile, or other eSIMs. The main catch is Verizon's confusing unlock behavior, since some units stay locked for hours or days and the bootloader remains permanently locked. Cancellation usually needs chat or phone support, and full month bills or prorated charge adjustments can take follow up.

These kind of "deals" make me nervous. Feels like Russian roulette banking on Verizon to do the right thing.

Bold print giveth , fine print taketh away.
At this point, I would wait for black Friday sales unless you really need a phone

Anyone successfully got the line cancelled after activation? If so, what was a reason used and how did it go ? Do we have to wait until online account generates a bill to cancel ?

I canceled within 1 hour of activating the service. Coverage was not good. That's all.

I think you need to understand how the system works to get the best out of it. Things are all automated now. You are getting a phone which you fully paid off and hence it will be unlocked. You are cancelling a line that you opened less than 3 days ago before for which you will be charged only those days of service. They will likely send you a bill with a full amount but you then chat and get charges waived.

It's pretty seamless if you do those two things.

You can cancel it right away after activation and verifying that the phone is unlocked. Poor coverage at home/work is a good excuse.

Store manager here. If you purchase any phone and get a promo on it, that promo is credited over 36 months. If you cancel before 36 months, you would be responsible for the remaining phone balance at the time of cancellation.

This is different promo associated with the launch of new simplicity plan. You pay the full price of the phone during the order. The discount is also applied during the order. I know this is a new thing for Verizon but this is different from bill credits which IMO no one should do.

Good on you and others having that kind of luck and faith.
I do not , and guessing a lot of people have been burned by these or were one day late to cancel and now on the hook for a year or Verizon service.
Idk just seems easier to wait and get an actual unlocked phone, not one that depends on some chat bot or support to make happen

For that you need to go to Google Fi whose phones are factory unlocked. See my other posts for details. P11 pro would be $500 off and then $50 or so for service.

Thanks. I'm on my phone, I know I saw it earlier today on desktop.

I can see the discount on other phones but not the pixels anymore even in incognito mode.

Tried to get this deal and Verizon's stupid website kept declining my card, falsely saying the billing address doesn't match. Then "Change your payment method
You've reached the limit of tries for this card. Please choose another way to pay to place your order."

And not letting me try any other cards. Gave up.

Yeah. The simplicity plan will be $45 per month if you don't port a number but you are cancelling it anyway. The phone should be unlocked after you activate it on Verizon network(it might come unlocked but I am not sure), you should verify this before cancelling the account.
Thanks, I called Verizon because I accidentally selected transfer my existing number so I wanted to change it but the representative told me just call back and ask for a new number when you receive the phone. FYI cb $150 for new customers.
