Community Reviews

This Verizon Pixel 11 Pro deal is mainly about getting a heavily discounted flagship and then verifying carrier unlock after activation. The strongest upside is the low out of pocket price, with store pickup and immediate activation often leading to an unlocked phone that works with Google Fi, Mint, T Mobile, or other eSIMs. The main catch is Verizon's confusing unlock behavior, since some units stay locked for hours or days and the bootloader remains permanently locked. Cancellation usually needs chat or phone support, and full month bills or prorated charge adjustments can take follow up.

Ok got it up and running but it's still locked. Do I need to pay the first bill in advance? Sign up for autopay. What's my next steps. I haven't really gotten a bill yet?
Never mind i now have to wait 35 days cause i used paypal my bad. Anyway to change this? Do i now just have to wait 35 days to cancel the line and suck it up and pay a month and half.

Ok I can start a return I guess that will be more of a hassle I'll giver verzion a try since I'm going to swich over too them anyway for free with Spectrum. This will give me 35 day trail I guess I can look at it that way.
On the Verizon website, on your devices list, does it say it is unlocked or locked?

By putting your mint SIM they meant transferring the eSIM. And yeah OEM unlocking under developer option means bootloader locked which for Verizon phones will forever be the case even if the phone is unlocked.
Yeah I guess that is kind of what they meant but I just wanted to clear it up a little bit more

Isn't the Google Fi a trial that runs with the other esim.So checking if it works and if phone is unlocked doesn't apply. Since 2 numbers are active.Where on the menu of the Pixel does it state it. Kinda confusing .Used to my Samsung Ultra.

I think Fi setup gives out an error if the phone is unlocked as Fi requires unlocked phone. You should be able to disable the other esim and use Fi exclusively to make sure you are doing calls/texts on it. If that works it means the phone is unlocked as Fi runs on T-mobile.

Google fi is not Verizon. You're using a different company's network when you call or text on the Google Fi number. If those calls work, it's unlocked.

My CB posts on 12/2. My vzw bill posts on 11/3 & 12/3. I'm going to pay the 2 months to guarantee I get the CB, canceling as soon as it posts the day before the next billing cycle starts. Spend $90 to get a guaranteed $420 is a no-brainer, and they have Lowe's GCs which is basically a cash equivalent to me during my remodel.
I've been looking through the terms and conditions, and I can't seem to find anything about a minimum number of billing cycles for the Verizon deal. For T-Mobile, they just mention keeping the line active for at least 40 days.

Also, I'm assuming the Verizon order will still go through since we have already paid for it, even if I cancel the line. Does that sound right to you, or am I missing something here?

It's ultimately up to Verizon. If on day 60 Verizon tells C1 they're not paying because you canceled, then C1 isn't going to pay us.

If you're doing the $150 CB I'd cancel. Worth the risk. If you have $300+ I'd say it's not worth. They sent me a $420 offer so even with 2x $45 payments it's a $330 profit. Not worth the risk imo.

So if shipped, it takes 35 days to unlock? Most of the "Verizon" is an authorized retailer in my area and only have corporate stores that are over 30 miles away.

Are authorized retailer phones unlocked too?

Is it worth keeping the line active for 3 months for the C1 cashback ranging from $150-$175?
