Visit the deal page on a desktop browser. Also do store pick up if possible to get the phone unlocked right away otherwise you might have to wait for 35 days for unlock.

You can select new customer and pay in full to get the $480 price. You can then select simplicity plan. Once you get the phone you can just cancel the line. Verizon unlocking policy states the devices are unlocked immediately if you pay in full. Their cancellation policy states no activation fee within 3 days and then only prorated charges if you cancel your line within 30 days.

***You might have to wait for 35 days before the phone is unlocked if you don't do store pickup in person as Verizon considers their online store purchase with delivery not secure. You can cancel your line nonetheless as the device will still unlock automatically after 35 days****

Community Reviews

This Verizon Pixel 11 Pro deal is mainly about getting a heavily discounted flagship and then verifying carrier unlock after activation. The strongest upside is the low out of pocket price, with store pickup and immediate activation often leading to an unlocked phone that works with Google Fi, Mint, T Mobile, or other eSIMs. The main catch is Verizon's confusing unlock behavior, since some units stay locked for hours or days and the bootloader remains permanently locked. Cancellation usually needs chat or phone support, and full month bills or prorated charge adjustments can take follow up.

That's the old policy which is replaced with a new policy in Feb. It's 35 days of wait at most.

It is still not worth the effort of dealing with Verizon customer support in my opinion. What if its not unlocked after 35 days. We will have to spend hours talking to the support again.

I'll most probably visit a nearby store, return the device and also cancel the line.

There are many Walmart threads in SD were people have done this before. They automatically unlock after 60 days before the new policy. Is it better to get it unlocked right away? Definitely(and hence you needed to store pickup) but the system is programmed to automatically unlock it after 35 days. It's upto you to take the risk e.g. you can see how much you can sell a Verizon locked phone locally if that does not work etc.

This is all seems like a mess. Think I won't pickup my order. Do I need to cancel anything or will that happen automatically?

Confirmed this working as I picked up a phone in store and it was unlocked immediately and confirmed as unlocked on Verizon's phone status page as well. Will be canceling the line in 10 days. I don't mind them getting ~$10 in service fees from me given how smooth and fast this transaction has been.

I successfully activated on ESIM2 Verizon MVNO, US Mobile Warp, but it took contacting US Mobile support. Automated process hung at the step of transferring to new device. Support tried some things and ultimately had to escalate - they took my email and said I'd get an update in 24-48 business hours after having to contact the 'parent carrier' to fix it. Assuming some Verizon provisioning issue that's probably impacting all sorts of folks per this thread. They had it fixed Monday (started on the weekend) and I received an email when it was ready. Had to contact US Mobile support again to wrap up the transfer.

Bought online with in-store pickup. Activated the line with Verizon (ensure I get C1) and showed unlocked on Verizon the first time I checked that day.

I returned the phone they are waiting the restocking fee. I give up trying to get past that call Verizon to activate esim error after the phone works on Google Fi. Something internal and Verizon doesn't want to fix. I will wait till black Friday for a s26 fe with at least 256 gigs or probably spring for a Motorola razr fold if I can afford that.

I was able to transfer my usmobile service onto my pixel 11 and cancelled verizon service. Now the final bill came and is for the full month. Called in twice to adjust it to be prorated, and even the rep said they saw the notes detailing the proration, but that they could not do anything about it and to wait for it to be applied the next billing cycle (which there is none obviously). Any one else able to get this addressed by phone or is there a better route?

They might indeed credit you on the next bill. I would chat one last time and wait for 5-6 days for the bill to settle.

by credit, I meant a negative bill would come and you will either get a check or paid back to the payment card.

Should get a bill for like $10 if you canceled it shortly after recieving it. I had a bill for $55 or something originally and then they sent me a 2nd bill for the prorated amount after it generated the final bill.

So outside of trying with a different sim? Is there another way to see if the phone is unlocked?

Would it be on the verizon account page somewhere?

Gotcha. I did cancel the day after activation. I'll give it a couple days to see if they send a revised bill before I reach out again.

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap Network & internet.
3. Tap SIMs and choose your primary SIM card.
4. Turn off Automatically select network.
5. Wait for the phone to search for available networks.
• Unlocked: A list of multiple carrier networks appears.
• Locked: Only your current carrier appears, or you get a restricted list

I did that and on my verzion account I went to the chat bot asked it if my phone was unlocked and it was.

Perfect. I saw a bunch of carries. I also checked on the verizon account. It says the device is unlocked there. So I guess I'm good. Thanks!
