I think this is Adidas' overpriced answer to Crocs which I am too embarrassed to wear outside of the house anyway. The photos show the sole is perforated as well, so very little protection if you step on something sharp and pointy.

The latest version has a rubber outsole without holes which sounds like an improvement.
