I also noticed a significant improvement in how I felt after about a year of taking 10,000 IU daily. I had better energy, mood, and overall activity levels, and I also noticed an increase in hair density. Because I felt noticeably better, I continued taking the same dose.
At one point, I stopped taking vitamin D for about a month before my annual blood work to see how my levels would change. My vitamin D level dropped sharply to around 40 nmol/L. I will not stop taking 10,000 IU of vitamin D3 plus 200 mcg of vitamin K2 daily.
