This Lisen braided USB C to USB C cable is mainly a low cost charging cable, with fast charging performance that reaches 100W and, in some testing, up to 140W. The thin braided build feels decent for the price, and the cables have served as reliable everyday leads for phones, laptops, and low power devices. The main caveat is that the advertised 240W rating is not consistently supported, with reports of one cable in a pack underperforming or failing outright. It also appears to be limited to USB 2.0 data speeds, so it is not the right choice for HDMI or DisplayPort video.

when do usb cables ever work as hdmi, ethernet, and the whole package?
I think he means can he use it to plug into a docking station that then provides those things.

For HDMI, you need a USB-C to HDMI adapter or one end of the cable needs to be HDMI.
I'm not aware of HDMI signals going purely through USB-C cables, but I'm just a home user.
Also, I believe the actual video signal data is the DisplayPort standard.
I have a small docking station with hdmi that's connected via USB-C cable, so some C to C cables can definitely transmit displayport signal. There are also monitors out there with USB-C port, although these tend to be on expensive side.
In any case, as you said this cable is likely a regular USB 2.0 with additional power delivery, so no displayport.

Here's when:"USB-C" is a connector standard. The connector is different from the data standards, and cables vary (widely) in what data protocols they support. Best example: Thunderbolt 5 uses the USB-C connector but only certified Thunderbolt cables will support the protocol's full 80Gb/s bidirectional data capacity. These cables will probably only support at most USB 3.1 data rates (5Gb/s), and not any of the alternate modes (DisplayPort, Thunderbolt, USB3.2, USB4)

Looks like I have bought these before in 2023 for $7. I don't use these that often because they don't always work. So I use them in low powered situations like thermometer, electric lighters, and recharging my Wyze battery cam as it has a really small connector.

my Lisen cables gave out after about 9 months of heavy use in travel. Most of my cables don't. However, the cables were so nice that I didn't mind the $6 i paid, feel i got my money's worth. Just a warning that these are far from BIFL.

I have these. They won't do 240W, they're rated for <60W according to my Treedix.
If that is the case, this is a horrible deal, I just got a two pack 60w for $2.79 on Amazon two days ago

Really odd to me this has 285 TU, yet only two pages of comments, some of course from bots, with only one person saying they bought it

That has to be a record, and VERY fishy

Good price for 100W cables, but too many recent reviews on Amazon complain about poor build quality and failure makes me pause/pass.

So - I wanted to post proof for the other guy in this thread who thinks I hop on SD, find random USB cable posts, and fabricate lies about them.

I plug in one of these flimsy cables and PD2.0/3.0/3.1 are lit up. 3.1 supports up to 240W (48V at 5A).

Confused, I plugged in my other of the two-pack and THAT ONE isn't showing PD capabilities.

I have a faulty cable here. Mind blown. My apologies if I led anyone astray.

Would I buy these again? No, I would not, but YMMV I suppose.

I have bought . multiple Lisen cables and they have all been junk. Would not recommend. Some of their other stuff is solid (car cell phone mounts, portable chargers) but I have bought three cables and they were all terrible and it was immediately on obvious on unpackaging that they were crap.

Worked like a charm. I've used a set of these for a while and have never had any problems with them super fast charging our devices. Grabbing another set. Thanks OP.
