Indeed, this phone might not work on Verizon, but it's because of Verizon's IMEI whitelist. It has ZERO to do with CDMA!!!
Community Reviews
Nothing Phone 4a Pro looks like a solid midrange Android with a fast 144Hz display, strong camera performance, and easy bootloader unlocking for root access. The build feels solid, and the Nothing software is part of the appeal. The main cautions are carrier support and network bands, especially on Verizon, where missing CDMA, mmWave, and band 13 can limit service in some areas. It also does not match Pixel or Samsung cameras, and the chipset is not flagship fast, making it a capable but not top-tier pick.
The phone feels solid in day to day use and it can serve as a reliable spare device.
The camera performance is described as really good for the price range.
The device supports many LTE and 5G bands, which can improve compatibility outside of Verizon mmWave.
The bootloader can be unlocked easily and the phone can be rootable for customization.
The phone can have limited Verizon compatibility because it does not support Verizon mmWave bands like n260 and n261.
The phone reportedly lacks CDMA support and may have limited LTE and 5G band support overall.
The phone lacks band 13, which may cause loss of service in buildings or rural areas with weaker signal.
The chipset performance may feel slower than a newer OnePlus device, which can make the deal less appealing for speed-focused buyers.

Make sure to do your research before you buy a phone so you don't run into this issue. You are correct that this phone will run very limited on the Verizon network due to them using the N260 and 261 band.
