Also check the combo deal. Blower and smaller trimmer for not much more.

Thanks OP. Repped.

Picked up a 60v 26" hedge trimmer at Walmart for $80 so this helps build up 60v equipment.

I got this when it was $80 on sale a year or two ago.

It's their "bait" item. You buy it and hope to get more of their 60v tools on sale… and they never have deals on 60v, only 80 or 40. I was hoping to add a few more but I missed one or two decent deals they had. So 2 year later… this is their only 60v tool I have.

It's fine, I rarely use it. It's huge and very heavy. I use my Worx 20v 99% of the time because this one with stock nylon doesn't really cut tough weeds any better surprisingly.

It does a bit better in a very thick tall grass though, if you have a patch that's super dense it maintains speed better.

But regular yard and driveway weed hacking a small lightweight 20v wins every time.

60V deals do show up, bullgates just said he got a 26 inch hedge trimmer at Walmart for 80 a few posts up. They are just never at the big box on the shelf, you have to catch them online.

The truth is that I thought it was really a novelty, I had one that survived for a very short time, the company replaced it for me without any problems, the one I got wasn't much different, maybe it's my fault,I decided not to contact the company, I'll keep using gasoline, I've never burned a gasoline engine.

I feel your pain. There always seem to be a loss leader item they use as a hook. I'm guilty of buying clearance battery items from different brands. Makita mower for $99 that came with 4 4ah 18v batteries and some rebate equipment.

A few 40v Hart items from Walmart that was 84% off a couple years back.

I noticed the Walmarts in my area started clearing out lawn and garden in early September. So I bought a few of the greenworks items for 66% off. I don't mind mixing and matching as long as it's on a good clearance.

I'll eventually keep the better items and flip the ones I don't use.

Best of luck on the hunt.

Mine were all in store except this deal. My area always seems to have great clearance on this stuff.

I have had this for a year. I used thicker string (I never use the thin string that any of these come with) and its a beast, way more powerful than the Ryobi 40V trimmer I had before but gave to my parents. Run time is also very good.
