I put my first Gen Moto tag in one of these and no issues. Just use high quality batteries.

I don't know why you need it battery in AirTag lasts year then when your phone says low battery replace it with $2 battery for tracking car put 2 AirTags in take out speaker so others can't find it and set off ping
Put AirTag were you can reach it to take out battery I have AirTag on another phone it tells me a AirTag is following me and gives me a map but will not give me a map
On one connected to my phone
Look up YouTube video to take out speaker
Have one of these hidden/buried in my car as I do not want to dig it out and remove the battery every year. Didn't want it located where it's easy to get to because if feels like that defeats the purpose. Wanted it buried/hidden so it would take a thief longer to locate it, hopefully giving me and the cops more time to recover the car. One of these units with lithium batteries is supposed to last 10 years without needing to be changed. Since I installed one of these about a year ago in the car, I'll have to report back in 9 years if the manufacturer's claims were true about the 10 year timeline. If not, you'll be hearing from me sooner. I disconnected the speaker on mine, which is apparently easier to do on Gen 1 Airtags than Gen 2.
