I got the weedwhacker a month ago for my smallish lot (8,000 sq ft but lots of gravel and hardscape). The weight it good and what's surprised me is that the smaller spool is lasting longer than the smooth string I would get (spooled or unstrung) for my corded B&D Best A510. That said, the rpm seems a bit less so it doesn't work quite as well against tougher (1/4") weedy stems. Battery life is fine.
