This is the lowest price I have seen on this. So if you have been waiting for a good discount on this controller, this is the time

I believe it matches (or is close to) the recent AliExpress frontpage deal?

Yes you can use USB-C to connect this controller to console. It is also mentioned in the manual: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1...1721113512

Which fold? I'm thinking about grabbing for an upcoming iPhone Duo. Looks like it doesn't open wide enough for an 11" iPad or I'd try that too.

There are some Slickdealers that only downvote. Best to just ignore them usually.

You can mod it yourself, better with a 3D printed component, for example this one: https://www.printables.com/model/...ets-new-v8 if you are okay with kissing your warranty goodbye, of course.

Why get a wrap around controller then just use laggy bluetooth, and you have to worry about charging it? The original G8 uses type C. I do wish the original G8 had the d-pad up top instead of the thumb stick.

Thanks! Just ordered for my Fold8 Ultra. I've never really done Mobile gaming before, but this fold-out screen is just too good to not try it out. I've landed on getting both the G8 Plus and the X5 Lite. The G8 plus has physically swappable buttons for my emulation playing, but the trade-off is dealing with Bluetooth and keeping it charged (my controllers are going to be sitting in the car because my intent is just on the go gaming). And the GameSir X5 Lite is for the more regular playing of PC or Xbox with my preferred USB-C plug and play. Now to figure out emulation - the main game series I want to do on here is Fire Emblem

I have this and have never had a problem with input lag. The battery life is pretty good in my limited experience, and the lack of usb c port in the middle of the controller is a must for people who want to put their phone/tablet in different orientations. The real issue I have with it is that two of my controller's magnetic face buttons fell off somehow and the only way to get replacements is to buy them for ~$25 on Etsy. Gamesir doesn't offer any official ones.
