Silly things your pets did today thread

i know there's a things your dog ate today thread but i though we need this too.

there's a bunch of things to share that puppy chloe does every day!

today she somehow got the bread loaf off the counter top in the kitchen. she likes to chew up anything paper or plastic. she was starting to rip apart the plastic and left the bread alone.

i had tethered her to the table outside borders when i went in for coffee. i came out and she somehow got one leg out of her harness. i mean, this harness is getting small on her so it's not loose at all!

she's either a genius playing dumb all the time or has someone help her do those things.

Dontknow

Here's a way to combine the "silly" and "death" themes of this thread: The other day we heard a commotion in our kitchen while everyone in our house was watching TV but no one got up to look. A little later my wife went into the kitchen to get something to drink and started screaming. I ran in to look and found our Jack Russell lying still on the floor with a Pepperidge Farm Goldfish bag out over his head. He had stuck his head into the bag to get the crumbs at the bottom and the bag had made a perfect seal around his head and was suffocating him. It was so tight that I couldn't get the bag off him and had to tear it open. About the time I was trying to figure out how to give mouth-to-mouth to a dog he popped back to life and started running around the house like nothing had happened! A Pepperidge Farm Goldfish bag had nearly killed my dog!
Wow I am glad that you found him in time.

My dog got a cottage cheese container stuck on her head the other night. Stick Out Tongue It kind of freaked her out but she thrashed it off before I could get to her to help. She left it alone for all of about 50 seconds before trying again. Doh

Henry, my mischievous cat popped his little cat skull pretty hard on the sliding glass door. Not sure if he was trying to head butt it to make it crack or what. Dontknow There was a little bird gathering going on in the yard.

chloe had a play date with a 10 month old puppy today Whee. she had so much fun! they got alone really well. chloe chased him around and they wrestled some Coverlaugh. it was cute.

there was a total picture moment when they were wrestling and all tired from running around, so both were laying down. chloe leans on him and puts her front leg around him and they both look at us (the dogs owner is a 22 year old college student) and we're both all "awwww"

gotta go OT again so if a person was jogging and the car hit them and took off its the persons fault? NO it's the driver's. it's not the dogs fault someone ran it over. the dog doesnt have a human brain. some dogs freak out around cars and dont know what to do so they run every which way. the driver would and should be 100% responsible. they could slam on their brakes, swerve away, or anything else.
You slam on the brakes, swerve away or do anything possible to avoid a human being, because a human life trumps anything else. But if you swerve or slam on your brakes on a public street for an animal, you're putting human lives at risk for an animal, and that's not acceptable. I will try to avoid an animal as best I can, but I'm not going to risk an accident for it. I've usually been able to successfully avoid them, but I did once run over a cat. I feel bad for it but I was doing about 30 and there was another car right on my ass. There was nothing I could do, he darted out in front of me. Sucks for the cat but the owner shouldn't let it roam the streets.

A couple of days ago I put Jude my Miniature Pinscher in the kitchen with a baby gate instead of his crate while I took a shower. Now the dog has the entire kitchen, full size bed, food, water, multiple toys and chews.
So I take a shower, get dressed, come downstairs to.....he has removed the cover off the dog bed and tore up the foam inside into approx 5,000 small pieces.....you couldn't even see the floor. He is a very naughty MinPin....but that is their nature. I have a book about the breed (he is my 2nd one) and I will never for get the line "never leave a miniature pinscher unattended. They are rather mischievous." True staement.

My dog likes to rip the fuzz off tennis balls. Or pluck out the "fur" or "hair" off any of his pet toys. I got him a duck that now looks like a bald eagle..

Its neither funny nor silly. Its annoying as hell. Looks like he can only get rubber toys from now on.. Frown

This weekend Archie broke the beenbag toy that he'd been playing with for the past couple of years, and spilled the beans all over the bottom of his cage. When I came down and saw it, he was sitting on his perch, pretending to be asleep. It was the funniest thing. I stared at him for awhile, and he opened his eyes, saw me, and quickly closed them again. If you know birds, they only typically sleep when it's perfectly quiet. The slightest thing will wake them up, so he was clearly farking with me.

Reminds me of my MIL's MinPin. They keep her crated/cage, but they made the mistake one day to leave the bag of dog food on the top of the crate/cage. They left to run errands and came back to Sophie in her cage just laying their with an extra couple pounds of food in her belly. She could barely walk she was so full. Rofl2

Can just imagine how many times she took a dump after all that food. laugh out loud

My first MinPin Miles (rest his soul) did some BS like that. We left him in a gated kitchen and I had left a bag with Christmas gifts from work on the floor. We left for a few hours and came back....holy shit I forgot someone made me a sour cream pound cake (about 5lbs) and wrapped it in tin foil as a gift and it was in that bag on the floor. Well, Miles ate the entire thing.....he looked like he was going to explode and he could barely walk either!!! He was so farking sick for days.....that poor dog!!!! PITAS but I love them!!

My parents just fixed our leather sofa from where my boxer chewed up a corner of the cushion.

My mom apparently went out of the house while I was asleep this morning and left the dogs inside, only to come back to see that they had chewed up the same corner again. $3500 sofa + repair costs + new puppy = my parents are idiots.
