this is the lead in for their upcoming "smart home" division launching "Apple" security cams, doorbells, locks, thermostats... I guess if you're "all-in" on the brand it makes sense.

For real. All the majors stopped pushing these things years ago, and some (like Meta) completely abandoned them yet Apple acts like they just invented a whole new product category.
After the vision pro flop, I expected more from them. They haven't had a major category innovator in years.
