These started out at $899, and the 8AH patented battery and charger actually cost more than the entire Honda mower kit. I saw a YouTuber out of Arkansas (
Chicanic - Honda Battery Powered Mower Review!) that specialized in small engine lawn equipment post a fairly unbiased review about the mower and she loved it (for smaller lawn areas). Seems like a great deal given it's original $899 starting price and the fact that it's about the same price or cheaper than an EGO mower at $499.

I have a Honda self-propelled mower going on 20 years now. The only cost is yearly maintenance and tune-up. These battery operated mowers will not last 5 years of heavy use.
Ps.: The cost of an extra battery is as much as the price of another mower.

My top of the line Honda gas mower has sat in the garage for the last three years. I switched to an electric riding mower. Super convenient, very low little regular maintenance, and not having to bother with getting gas (or worse, running out at a bad time). No PITA winterization. No rebuilding the carb or keeping fuel additives on the shelf.
I did get to revisit my gas Honda this spring. I was waiting on a part for my rider. Those two weeks of gas mowing sucked. Fumes I didn't notice previously made the whole time miserable. A person can get very accustomed to clean air, apparently.
