You're wrong about that. I did traditional working out for years and lots of curls and this thing does work your biceps and forearms if you position it correctly.

I put the handle into my shoulder area, (while holding with other hand) and pull the other end towards me almost like you're flexing-it works great.

I use it daily and I'm actually surprised how well it works for the biceps and forearms.
Did you have any gains? I feel like there is no way this works.

I am older at almost 50, so gaining muscle mass is harder, but I've noticed more tone and some extra mass since my two or so months of daily use. I do three fairly quick sets.

I can tell you after three sets with this thing my arms are very tired and I can't do any more, just like when I do traditional curls with a bar. It's also way more convenient and doesn't hurt my wrists like a bar does.

Does it work though?
It is not the most versatile work out tool. It mainly works the upper torso but worked great for me. I have a shoulder injury and I can work my shoulders with this sans the pain. After 2-3 weeks of using this I can now put my hand under my head when I lie on my back, which I could not do for years.

None of the exercises this thing enables work the arms in any meaningful way. Using it in the front looks like a chest exercise and using it overhead like in the picture seems more like a shoulder exercise. but both movements have limited range of motion, so questionable effectivenessBut forearms are trained with heavy grip work. And since you're never pulling on this thing, it's never really challenging your forearms. biomechanically I can't reason how this would possibly impact the upper arms at all.(that said, the best exercises are the ones you'll do consistently. so if this is that for you, awesome)
Have you actually used one?

It should. But you're probably better off getting a resistance band set. Far more versatile, and was my go-to during the COVID lockdown.
This is the best piece of advice folks.
Get a resistance band and exercise band set and you are better off with so many exercises.

I mean any sort of exercise can give you gains, especially one with resistance. Will it work the muscle groups as well as advertised? Probably not. But it stands to reason it would do something as long as its used consistently.

I use it this way as well and find it works for what it is.
