Never tried and never will as I don't understand the truffle hype or cost. Everything I've tried that has truffle added has not been to my taste and I just assume it was the truffle as to what didn't agree with my taste buds. Easy pass for me.

Pretty much all truffle infused food is just synthetic truffle flavoring that to me has a weird aftertaste and a petroleum smell. Truffles need to be fresh (like within a couple days from coming out of the ground). If you get a chance to try actual fresh truffle you definitely should, it has a depth of earthy umami flavor that you can't find anywhere else.

4 oz is $10 msrp at Ralphs. It deos go on sale fro $7-8 sometimes. Truff is generally priced high. Also, not everyone likes the taste, but I dig it. Ingredients say truffle essence, and no natural or artificial flavors. Even though "essence" is not a well-defined term, doesn't sound synthetic

I love hot sauces of all kinds, but usually "super hots" hot sauces. On a lark (always wanted to use that phrase), a few years ago I decided to try the original TRUFF hot sauce with the black label. I think I used it once or twice before I gave up. I didn't get the appeal, but then we're all different. If I recall, the stuff tasted like dirt. lol. Have never tried the jalapeno-lime variety shown here, but then I doubt I'd ever buy jalapeno-lime hot sauce.

Real truffle is hard to find and costly - most of the time, it's just oil or truffle "flavor", which isn't far from the actual thing.

This jalapeño lime one isn't actually spicy..or I guess you could say is super mild, it's more for like a kick of flavor.. goes real good on chicken sandwiches! The black label one is my least favorite ,but the white label one is really great!!

I bought some black truffle salt that had little pieces of truffles going all through it and it was pretty expensive. The smell was so strong that my whole cabinet was smelling like truffles for a long time. The only thing I use it on is eggs, it taste pretty good on eggs.

Truffle oil on fries and or a spread on a burger is great as long as it's lightly done
