Dumb question but Can these be used also as normal baking soda for cooking? Is there any difference?

Yes but I would only do so if the box had not been used to deodorize a fridge or other space due to the odors potentially being absorbed into your food and making it smell bad. That said, I do recycle the baking soda from these boxes after they have been used to balance the alkalinity in our hot tub. Any odors get killed by chlorine so not an issue with a bad smelling hot tub lol.

They used to sell these at Walmart for $.98 but are $1.52 now. But they also sell these at Dollar Tree.

My guess is because it is not being sold at a grocery store or because it is not labeled as 'food' but rather a deodorizer

Those are 14oz, not 16oz and they are always this price. This bulk purchase is a much better value

At DT, they used to be 68c or 78c 16oz prepandemic when everythingelse was $1. I think they went up to 1.25 after they raised their universal price to 1.25. I wouldn't be surprised if they are even higher now. Walmart has 5lb for 4.xx in some places or could be lower.

Yes. After you use them as deodorizer, you may use these for cleaning. Don't waste them in trash. They will do miracle for greasy, stained kitchen pots.

Only caveat, I read that commonly available BS including Arm hammer and 365 brands, have residual arsenic or something poisonous/cancerous mixed in during manufacturing process despite they being just 100% BS. Therefore, common BS are not recommended for consumption. For completely "clean" ones, there are couple of brands recommended in that video I watched but I forgot their names and those brand names were not that common brand names.
