Visible is a low cost unlimited talk, text, and data plan that can work very well on Verizon coverage, especially outside crowded areas. The promo price is strong, and the service has been solid in some major cities and even better than T Mobile in South Florida. The base plan is deprioritized, so speeds can slow to a crawl in dense places, indoors, basements, or around big events, with hotspot speeds around 4 to 5 Mbps. Voicemail notifications also remain unfixed. It is a practical budget option if your local Verizon signal is strong.

Waiting for 12 month promo...changing carriers after just 6 months is a hassle.

T mobile is the best for me in San Jose, full bars in Chicago and Dallas. Verizon and ATT was variable. But during a power outage I couldn't even use T-Mobile data since Metro is deprioritized 😂 I ended up buying a 16v inverter so I can at least power my Xfinity router with my Ev during a blackout
How would that work? Xfinity still have data connection during an outage?

I don't know yet. Hopefully they're on a UPS. Regardless it's nice to have an inverter in the ev.

The Plan includes unlimited QCI 9 deprioritized data. Or Simplicity for QCI 8 direct from Verizon Headwaters.

Anyone had luck to get these kind of discounts if already a visible user via their support? I would prefer to avoid switching to another provider if possible. I have 4 months left until the discount I currently have ends. Any suggestions?

Their $5 off locked for 5 years deal is way better if you plan to stay there longer than 1 year.

I wouldn't want deprioritized service on Verizon's network. It's not as big of a deal being deprioritized on T-Mobile's network. This is because T-Mobile "owns" a lot more of the spectrum that actually penetrates buildings effectively (lower-frequencies). Verizon "owns" a pretty small slice of the spectrum at lower frequencies, and it is easily congested. Everybody in a concrete building or basement (or otherwise can't connect to the higher-frequency bands) is sharing that small slice, and being in the slow-lane (deprioritized) means speeds will regularly slow to a crawl.

In places that have good signal for the higher-frequency bands, being deprioritized is much less noticeable, if noticeable at all. There is often plenty of bandwidth to go around.

And regardless of which network you're on, if you're someplace with thousands (or tens of thousands) of users in a relatively small area, being deprioritized usually means little-to-no data service.

And worth noting, even though T-Mobile has more capacity at lower frequency bands, Verizon covers more area geographically. There are lots of areas, especially rural areas, that are reached by Verizon's "small slice" of the lower-frequency spectrum that are not reached by T-Mobile.

Yeah same . Mine ends in December. Trying to see what's the best deal if I get a new iPhone as well.
