These Woot refurbished iPhones are landing in solid shape, with recent buys described as working fine and arriving better than expected, including one iPhone 14 that matched its 80 percent battery claim and another unit showing 98 percent battery health. The strongest value points are storage and newer hardware, especially 256 gigabytes, USB C on the iPhone 15 series, and the bigger battery and screen on Plus models. The main caution is software support, since older models can run into app and bank app compatibility limits as iOS requirements move up. The 30 day return window and a battery replacement can soften that risk.

  • People upgrading from an older iPhone that can no longer run current apps, because newer models restore access to current iOS versions and keep banking apps working.

  • Shoppers who want a refurbished iPhone with strong battery life and clean cosmetics, because Grade A units have arrived in terrific shape with battery health around 98%.

    mister2kevinca

  • Buyers who want USB-C and longer software support, because the 15 series brings USB-C and stays on the latest iOS longer than older models.

    davin900echip

  • Families buying a phone with more storage for a child, because the 256GB option can be the difference between enough space and constant app management.

    mister2

  • Shoppers who need a pristine, mint-condition phone, because Grade A units can arrive in good shape without being truly mint.

    Hgtgnmister2kevinca

  • Buyers worried about battery wear on a refurbished phone, because battery health can land around 79% to 85% and may need a replacement sooner than expected.

    brandon311421AnneR4868glockjs

  • People who need guaranteed long-term compatibility with the newest banking apps, because older iPhones can be stuck below the iOS versions those apps require.

It's been years going back to the iPhone 8 that I purchased from Woot and it was in good condition, but not excellent condition. Anyone make a purchase this year on a Woot iPhone? Satisified? Battery health?

Yeah, I had an iphone 8 and bought the 16 plus from woot a couple weeks ago. It's nice, works fine, good condition. Happy with the purchase. My apps were beginning to not work on iphone 8 because I was locked out of the most up to date iOS, so it kinda forced my hand.

Banks apps require the latest security updates. Obviously you don't have a bank account

Not sure if this was a joke, but I just checked the apps for the three largest banks in the US (Chase, BoA, and Citi) and they require iOS 17.4, 17.0, and 16.0, released 3-4 years ago. None of these versions are the latest point releases of their respective major versions.

Bought an 14 about a month ago from Woot. At the time it wasn't even Grade A refurbished. It did have 256gb which was important for me. My son needed a phone with more storage so 256gb was necessary. Ad promised 80% battery life and it arrived with that exact number. Phone was not mint but condition was better than expected. Kid is using it now with no complaints. Big upgrade from the XS.
