It really seems like Dyson are more willing to cut quality than their margins. This would be good value at maybe $200

This is a new model. I blame their naming convention. The V8 cyclone is distinct from the original v8 model. This model has longer battery life and more suction. Also it does not use a trigger and instead uses a button.

It's an okay deal. It seems to be the deal on this model. Sam's club also has this model with powered anti tangle upholstery attachment for $299 at times.

Had the original V8 five years and it still runs, so no knock on the line. I get that the Cyclone is the newer refresh with the button instead of the trigger, but 300 feels rich when Dyson's refurb store keeps the older sticks way under that. If you do not care about the car kit I would wait for a holiday price.

Agreed, but they wont devalue their product that much, maybe we will see refurb ones that act like new then I would get it. As for battery, someone mentioned their died, my V7 is still going super strong on normal mode, but in turbo it dies after 1 minute or so. Battery replacement is pain as I don't want to gamble with aftermarket batteries.

Our V7 had the same issues, and it's due to the battery. We got a decent replacement battery from Amazon with good reviews for about $25. It is working like new.
