Dang. I know this ain't the best money can buy, but, shoot, 70" for $300. I can remember, decades ago, almost buying a huge 32" cathode ray unit for, I believe, well north of $500. Repped.

I have the 50" version of this TV so YMMV vary with the 70". In my experience the Fire TV OS is slow and clunky and Amazon's advertising above all gets tiresome after a while. That said, as a secondary TV it's a good deal. Fire TV handles OTA broadcasts well, with a guide and timeslip. Great for locally broadcasted football! π

Bought one of these Insignia TVs in the 55" size back in 2018 as a gift for an ex-gf for around $200 and from what I can remember, it worked well for the time I got to use it, but I would never buy one again.
That's cool. This is a different TV 8 years later. Comparing apples to green beans.
I bought this TV about 6 months ago as an open box for $279. I use it as a secondary TV for my son to watch movies and play xbox. No issues at all. It's fairly light and the picture looks just fine. For $299 NIB, it's a no-brainer. The size is great.

My first flat screen TV was Toshiba 40" LCD during 2010 Thanksgiving for $400. $10 per inch was considered a great deal back then and that TV still runs fine till date. $200-300 for 65"-75" is excellent price but you don't seem to get the quality of those older models.

I have two of the 50" version in my camper and they have served us very well during the last two camping seasons. They were $200. $300 for a 70" is a steal!
For those of you that have this TV is it possible to have it turn on to the last used input or does it always boot to menu? If I can connect an apple tv and never see the stock UI Idk about the slowness.
