Not even... Only has an air cooler which is insufficient for the crazy hot CPU. No liquid cooler.

All those games benchmarked are old and even weak computers can run them. Why didn't they benchmark newer games that take a lot more power out of the system?

Get lost, troll.

Even if that were true (it's not), adding an AiO costs $40 and takes all of 10 minutes to install.

Not a valid excuse for discrediting a good deal.

Add an $100 AIO and you're golden.

This is a DIY cost estimate (if you have a MC near by)
  • CPU, MB, RAM - $900
  • GPU - $1200
  • 2TB M.2 - $200
  • 750W PSU - $100
  • Case - $75
  • AIO - $100
  • Total DIY = $2500 +/- depending on product preferences

There's nothing wrong with refurbished products that pass through reputable refurbishment processes.

If an entire line of products is bound to have issues and go through a recall, do you really want to buy the one that hasn't been looked over a second time?

That's just extra effort when you eventually have to send it back.

It sold out while I was calling MSI with questions. Great deal.

Re: their certified refurbished, MSI said that these are either remorse returns or returns with minor issues (i.e. loud fan that needs replacement) and not main components like motherboards.

The two biggest issues in my opinion are, which are not show stoppers given this deal but might be for a more modest MSI refurb deal, are -

i) buyer pays return shipping if not 'broken' (i.e. you receive it and the system seems more heavily used than expected)

ii) they can't guarantee what RAM speed or configuration you get - you might get 2 x 16 GB or 1 x 32 GB and the speed is not guaranteed either. The rep did say that usually speed is 5000-6000 and usually it is 1x or 2x RAM (i.e. unlikely to get 4 x 8 GB). They do know once you place the shipment and/or they fulfill it, but I don't know how that works if you place it and then call to ask.

He also said that sometimes more refurb inventory comes back in stock but he had no way to know for sure.

I have one, the fan is fine. This is not the k variant. Also, as a refurb, it looked absolutely brand new to me. Probably a lottery who knows.
