Amazon Grocery ground beef is a convenient same day option for chili, burgers, and other basics, with a deal price around $2.99 per pound in some areas. The meat has a 4.7 rating with over 27,000 reviews, USDA inspection, and past orders were described as matching grocery store and Costco quality and flavor. Availability and pricing vary by warehouse and account, with some pages showing a coupon or the deal price and others showing $7 per pound or unavailable. Shipping and the $25 minimum can push the effective cost higher, and the country of origin is not clearly shown.
Common Questions (5)
No. Availability and pricing vary by warehouse and address, so some shoppers see the deal price while others see $7 to $7.36 per pound or an unavailable listing.
The listed price can be $2.99 per pound, but shipping may add about $2.99 total, pushing the effective cost close to $4 per pound. Some accounts also show a random $5 coupon or a 50% grocery coupon, which can lower the final price if available.
The package is described as USDA inspected and passed, and one prior purchase was reported as tasting like regular grocery-store or Costco ground beef. The country of origin is not clearly labeled in the comments, so the main practical concern is the missing origin detail rather than inspection status.
It still requires a $25 minimum for free same-day shipping, even with Prime. If your cart does not reach that threshold, shipping is charged separately.
Yes, multiple packs can be added when the deal is active; one shopper was able to get 5, and another bought 5 pounds at the same price. The limit appears to depend on the listing and local availability.

USDA doesn't require companies to disclose country of origin. That said, plenty of countries outside the US that have good beef...and plenty in the US with bad beef.

Like I already said, China did refuse to buy Argentina meat and they could still be rejecting certain shipments..The US media will air what their owners want them to report. If 50,000 pounds of meat was rejected , then I'm sure it wasn't an isolated issue. No need to respond.
ps. By definition, "currently" is not March 2026.
1. How did you get the 50% off from that $1.99 deal to make it even cheaper?
2. What's up with your fuzzy math there? $2.99 shipping on a $2.99 product doesn't make it $4 per lb…
Like telling you In-laws that you have special dietary issues and can't eat x food at the gathering because it causes severe digestive issues that your doctor has been warning you about. 😉😉
