This Pixel 11 and 12 month Mint Unlimited bundle stands out for the low upfront price on a 256GB phone and service, with the 256GB tier looking especially strong versus the higher storage option. The main appeal is that the phone unlocks after 60 days of activation, and the bootloader can be unlocked once carrier unlock is complete. Taxes and recovery fees can raise the total, Mint uses the T Mobile network, and activation must happen within 45 days. The trade in offer is also far below Best Buy or Google, so the value depends on how much you want Mint service and the Pixel itself.
The unlock countdown for the Pixel eSIM reportedly starts after activation and can begin transferring service afterward.
The phone can reportedly unlock after about 60 days without additional steps for prior Mint deal Pixels.
The 256GB pricing tier is described as more attractive than higher storage options in the same deal context.
The deal can reportedly be timed to qualify as a new Mint customer by letting service lapse and avoiding number porting.
The phone may be locked to Mint for about 60 days, which can affect plans for selling the device or plan immediately.
Recovery fees and taxes can increase the total cost and reduce the deal's attractiveness depending on the buyer's state.
Activation timing constraints can limit when the deal can be used, including a 45-day activation window.
GrapheneOS is reportedly not supported on the Pixel 11 and may not be supported in the future.

According to resources, the phone is locked to Mint for 60 days, requiring actual use of the service. So, I'm not sure if you can just sell the phone plan like you could in the past (maybe if you are an active Mint user, you can bring over your current eSIM and get it unlocked after 60 days, and then you can sell the 1 year plan. I'm not really sure how it works now that everything is eSIM. I bought a GP7P back in the day with this kind of promo and it came with a physical SIM i could sell).
You reckon the latest fold is good or should I wait out for the next model?
Still have visible until Dec 22nd.
Might buy now and activate in a couple weeks.
Is the Samsung S26 a better buy for $100 more?
Most reviews mention S26 having better performance, battery life and LTPO screen.(variable refresh rate)
Few additional questions for anyone that might know:
1. How many days after purchase do we have to activate the phone / Mint Mobile service. We are looking to get this bundle for our child and there is still at least a month on the current prepaid service plan from another MVNO service.
2. The website for the bundle deal says "Port in is not required" but I am assuming we can port over the phone number from the other MVNO service?
Thanks for any input/feedback,

So whatever that total price is, you get the Google Pixel 11 and 12 months unlimited mint mobile for $640 or so?
How much would it cost if you buy the Google Pixel 11 yourself? It's $899 and tax so about $990? If that's the case, isn't this a good deal if you want this phone? Because normally when they give you a free phone, you have to sign up for a year or two with some ridiculous high monthly fee? Even if you buy this phone yourself unlocked and sign up for 12 months of mint mobile unlimited if they have that promotion of $180 and tax, isn't this deal going to be much better? Because buying this phone costs $990 already... then another $180 and tax so say $200 at least. That would be $1190 compared to $640 here?
I'm confused why people are asking how long is it locked with Mint Mobile for and people say 2 months. Why would that matter since you are getting the Mint Mobile plan for a year so during that year, well your phone already is unlocked after 2 months? So when the 1 year plan ends, you can choose any other carrier to change if you want right? Or after your 1 year plan ends, you need to pay another 2 months more with Mint Mobile before it unlocks?
So this is a locked Mint Mobile phone. But you are going to use their Mine Mobile service for a year right since that is included? So essentially you are getting this phone as a huge discount compared to the retail price? Or is there something missing here? So if it costs total around $640, even if you were to sign up for the 12 month $180 plan when Mint Mobile has that deal again and say it costs $200, well you are essentially paying $440 for this phone compared to $990? Is that correct?
