This set gets all the little things right: The sockets are all 6-point and there are zero skips. The locking ratchets are good enough for all but the tightest spaces. There is a very handy driver and quality comprehensive allen wrenches without a bunch of useless "filler." The case is fantastic -- most everything sits on one side and is easy to lift in and out, so you're not struggling to force things into plastic latches or dealing with things falling all over the place when you open it.
What some people might miss: There are no wrenches or long ratchet extensions and only a few deep sockets. For household needs, I haven't missed them, and to get all those in a case like this you'd have to go to the 149-piece set at triple the price. For my money, if you need wrenches, get a separate small wrench set.
Bottom line: For homeowners who aren't mechanics, I would buy this set over the other brands in this price range, and over the silly $99 300-piece bulky 40-pound sets that go on sale at this time of year.
