Finally at work.
I need a vacation.
Hell, I shouldn't complain. DW has it worse right now.
It turned out ok. Friend with the 4 kids got them all ready, went out to get in the SUV and her husband had taken it to work instead of his pick up. You'd think you'd check that out before you tell 4 kids you're taking them swimming. Those kids are just ROWDY...and you can't fit 4 kids in a small pick up, so they had to stay home. Friend #2 came with her 2 kids, who are pretty well behaved. They are the 2 I babysit sometimes. So, it was peaceful. Well, if MY kids hadn't been there it would have been.
Didn't mention this yesterday here...Robert had his follow up at the dr yesterday. When his appendix was taken out, there was a tumor on it. Dr said it was the slowest growing kind and he thinks that was the only one. He is forwarding the info to Robert's stomach dr though just in case. I guess God was looking out for him...having him get appendicits when he did and got it out. Still a little scary though.
Please don't mention anything about it on FB or anything because he didn't say anything to his family. They overreact.
Which reminds me...if you don't have me on FB or Google +, hit me up.
I tend to get a little flustered when I'm not 100% in control of stuff.
Anyhoo... I bribed the boys yesterday. Told them I'd get them something cool for our trip (12 hrs in the car) if they could just BE NICE to each other between today and the day we leave. So far, so good. I'm hoping that it becomes a habit. Things were just getting out of control. Summer is fun and all, but I'm ready for a little back to school structure.
After our big trip we have a weekend at the lake planned with some friends. When we get back from that I'm going on Operation: Back to School status. Early bedtimes, early wake times, school work and reading time and go outside and run around time.
Just had last rites given. Called a local Catholic church and they have a father on call to do just that.
Found out later I should have made a 'contribution' to the church. Will do that later I guess.

$20 is sufficient. Something else you can do for her if she was a member is to get a "Mass Card" for her - you donate any amount (I usually give $10) and a mass is said in her honor.
