Comfort Above all else, I'm so thankful that we didn't have will fights. I'm also glad there was a will for Memaw. Hopefully Memaw made it very clear who gets what. My grandfather had it down that his kids got $1 each and if they contested the will they got nothing. Ouch. So glad we didn't have to share the will with them, and they never asked since my grandmother is still alive. Everything goes to her anyway.

Wish I could laugh about it. Lawyer did say that he would now be a material witness for us (she said she is also contesting the will). We would have to get another lawyer since he would be a witness.

We have him, who was there when she changed the will, plus two other folks that know it was her wishes and she was in her right mind
at the time.

Still very frustrating.

Kinda fracked up that you have to get a different lawyer now...but understandable since it would be a conflict of interest on his part.

Reminds me of "Presumed Innocent [imdb.com]" (Harrison Ford, Raul Julia) where the lawyer for the prosecution wanted to testify against Harrison Ford and the big bitch slapping he got from the Judge for trying to do so.

DW calls this movie "The 13th Glass"
