Why am I emailing my ex-wife? Why am I answering her messages? I wrote her to say "thanks" for sending some of my stuff that she found while she was packing to move... and now we're exchanging messages... I keep answering her questions ("how's the cat?" "how's your job?") and asking her questions back goddammit what's wrong with me? Facepalm

Yeah I don't mind it if half of the wall is a lighter color. Your bedroom is super cozy. Your whole house is. I loooove your house. Seriously it's like the most relaxing decor ever. I really like how you decorated it.

I imagine yours is the same color except it's flung poo not chocolate and really not so kinky.
I'm lucky that most of it was painted when we bought the house. Glad she had similar tastes to mine. The only one we painted was Jack's room (because she had a daughter and part of the room was pink) and the bathroom..because she had this horrible ice blue weird color. I painted it the nice light caramel color.

I think the white trim really helps the darker walls in the bedroom. The living room, too. White trim really makes a difference. And you can come and relax here any time. Pool.is.open.

Yeah the white helps break it up and make it not seem too dark. Our downstairs bathroom is blue but it's not ice blue. At least I don't think it is. I've never been 100% sure about the color but I've already painted that room two times already and it's a bitch to pain cause it's not just four walls..I'm not painting it again anytime soon, lol.

If what happens (that I was telling you about) happens...I might come visit you every weekend laugh out loud j/k

My buddy who lives in New Jersey is coming for a visit. He's bringing his wife. They left NJ at like 8pm so I'm sitting up waiting for them to get here. I cleaned more in the last 3 hours than I have since I moved into this house! LMAO If it was just my friend I wouldn't worry so much but I don't want his wife to be totally grossed out.

BUT I am SO tired... been up since 0500 like usual... not sure I'm gonna make it much past when they get here... Yawn

This was...a really strange color. I hated it. I like warmer/neutral colors.

You sure can. And I'm not even discussing it with Robert. Roll

One of our local news channels is talking about the heat and how everyone is mad that the electric company here has raised their prices. They said to turn off "non-essential items" in our houses to reduce cost. The electric company said we should turn off our air conditioners if we want to lower our costs. Seriously? They raise their prices and then tell us to turn off our air in 100+ degree weather? Yeah thanks guys.

How long does it take them to get there? Will they be there a few days? Hopefully they'll be ready to pass out when they get there too so you won't have to stay up too long. Unless they drank a lot of caffeine on the way there and are all wound up, lol.

Yeah same here. With the warmer/neutral colors I mean. Our living room is awesome...I love love LOVE it. I can't really describe it but it's two stories high with a stained glass window at the top and a sloped roof and a stone fireplace that goes up tot he ceiling. I love it sooo much. But the people who lived here before us...they painted it all a really really light cream color. It had been stained a wood color which would have been gorgeous. We've thought about taking the paint off and restaining it...but the walls aren't normal walls...they're like wood planks and the ceiling is the same way. It would be next to impossible to do. I hate that they painted it that color though..it really took away from the possible amazingness of this room.

And laugh out loud about not asking Robert.

Oh my gosh I'm the same way!! Not much bugs me when I go to other people's homes (We've got a Husky so shedding doesn't faze me at all, lol) but when people come over here all of the sudden I'm seeing all sorts of things I'm afraid people will focus on "Oh no...there's nose prints all over the window where Phantom looks out...ahhhh the baseboards aren't clean...ahhh the light switch looks dingy...." laugh out loud

I made a snarky post about it on ch 5's FB. I mean, the CEO got a HUGE raise and bonus last year, but we get our bills raised. There are old people dying from heat because they can't AFFORD to turn on their AC's. That almost makes them seem like murderers. Mad Our FUEL surcharge alone was $80 That's more than some people's weekly grocery bill. There were people talking about how they had to choose between power and food. It's insane.

Man I know it Frown I read somewhere that there were a number of deaths in Memphis because people had had their electricity turned off due to non-payment. So the electric company there said that for some small fee they'd turn something back on so that even if they can't run anything else in their homes they can at least run their air while it's so hot. It's not like winter (the winters here anyway, I know it's way colder further north) ...where if you can't afford to run your heat you can dress in tons of layers and stuff and be ok. In the Summer houses turn into ovens without any air running and even if you take off all your clothes it still can make you sick hot.

If my AC wasn't working, I'd have to go stay somewhere else. It'd be a freaking oven here. I even emailed THEM about it, then told them I was writing my congressman to see if they can be looked into for this. You know we're paying for that ash spill. It has nothing to do with fuel.

Same way here wave I have to have everything clean if someone is coming over. I don't care if its for 5 minutes. I worry they will ask to use the bathroom, and upstairs is "the boys" bathroom. ughh. Guys are gross you know. I end up cleaning everything in the house laugh out loud

So my son is starting high school and we already got a notice he has to go to panther camp, some two hour class thing to learn what high school is about & a parent has to go with him. Now he got his registration notice for the week before that. He has to go pay all these fees and go get his schedule. OMG its like he's starting college, I get the student fees & locker fees but all the class fees, book fees and IDK even know. Its a huge list with a lot of dollar signs next to them. Ermm

I have to go register Nick this week. We'll get the fees too. I need to ask him if he wants a locker. Last year I paid for one and he never used it. He kept crap in my mom's classroom if he had to.
