I know when I have a project I don't want to do...I start cleaning things up in the general area of where I'm gong to work on that project.
My pet rock died.
I just emailed a place I interviewed with on Tuesday and basically demanded a job offer. I told them that I already have an offer from another place that I've been stalling for a week (which is 100% true) and I felt that they deserved an answer & I would like to make a decision.
So we'll see how that goes.
Nice to be (somewhat) in demand I suppose. One of these days I'll find a job where I can stay longer than a year...
Well, with the help of the boys, we are almost done. The living room is cleaned, dusted, couch vacuumed, couch moved and cleaned underneath. The kitchen is cleaned, counters scrubbed, cabinets washed, fronts of appliances washed, stove scrubbed, floor swept, bar cleaned, furniture in kitchen cleaned. Hallway is swept and cleaned. Boys rooms are cleaned. Gerbil cage cleaned. Bathroom scrubbed and cleaned, under the sink cleaned out and organized. My room is cleaned, floors done. Some things that needed to go in the attic are put away. Cloth shower curtain has been washed, and a new liner was put up. My sheets and comforter were washed. Laundry has been folded and part of it put away. Patio doors have been cleaned, glass on front door has been cleaned. Patio has been cleaned off, patio table wiped down. Pool has been cleaned.
All that's left are the kitchen and bathroom floors and the rest of the laundry being put away. Plus I have to put my sheets and comforter back on. Then I can start making food and continue to run the dishwasher 100x. Robert went golfing.
As we were walking out of the theater (I took off work today) I get a call from my boss. There are three programmers in my group. The newest one passed away this morning.

A guy we go to church with has a kid Jamie's age. He (the guy) had to be somewhere today between 9-2. He wanted to know if his kid could come over and hang out with Jamie. (He didn't know about the party.) Problem is, he is getting to where he does this all of the time. He has his son most of the time, not his ex-wife. Anyway, I'm not your free babysitter, dude. Robert told him we were having company. When Robert went golfing Friday, he was going to go, but didn't because I told him his kid could come but the boys would be helping clean all day. Seriously, the kid is old enough to stay home. He does sometimes. You don't need me hovering over him.
Good news is, our friends Kent and Miranda told us last night that they ARE going on vacation with us again this year!
