=======================================================================================
There are three types of Shutterfly coupon codes:

1 - Account Codes - Shutterfly adds a code to your account and, depending on your email preferences, emails you to alert you to the offer. This is not transferable - the offer is tied to that Shutterfly account.

Make sure you tell Shutterfly to email you and you won't miss any deals. If you find deals in your account that you did not see in email - check your preferences.

* Go to My Shutterfly
* Go to the bottom and click on Personal Info/Settings
* Click on change under Email Preferences
* Make sure that the first box is checked
* Save now

A recent development in the Shutterfly world, probably in response to all the selling on eBay and trading on forums like this, where the offer code is emailed to the customer AND they have to add it to their account - it is not always added automatically by Shutterfly. The codes are typically 6-8 characters and look exactly like the shareable codes -- but they will only work on the accounts that Shutterfly chose to email this offer to.

2 - Shareable Codes - Shutterfly has some codes that are offered to affiliates/partners. These coupons can be shared and used in multiple accounts (once per account). Examples of what these codes look like are NMSA-XXXX or WIXXER09.

3 - Unique One time use codes - Shutterfly also offers one time use codes, typically they are 18 alphanumeric characters long, that come with special offers. These codes may be emailed to you or included in a printed card when you get a Shutterfly shipment. They may be won via Shutterfly contests. They may come from Shutterfly or from partner offers. Often times you can see these codes being sold on eBay. Examples of what these codes look like XXXX-7H9P-EBFX-V39VEC.

===============================================================================================
Membership/Frequent Flier Programs
If you participate in these you may be able to get rebates or bonuses:

* Upromise - shop thru link and get 7% in your account - they often have other discounts as well
* eebates you can get a percentage of your order value credited (The program eebates has one less e, but if you type the real name this site will block it)
* Discover reward cards also give 5% back on shutterfly.com purchases when you shop thru their link - also you can use your Discover Cash Back to get $25 gift card to shutterfly for only $20 (comes in the mail - not instant)

FB group changes!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guys we were forced to upgrade the group or loose it all into archives, so things are a bit different over there now. Go check it out. We no longer have discussions, we have to use the documents for it. Just letting you all know whats going on if things are missing.

I need an idea...DS has had a teacher's aid that has helped him with reading and math since K and he is in 4th grade right now. When I met with her last week, she kind of got teary-eyed talking about how much she cared about him and had even figured out how many days she had spent with him (it was a math problem that they did...not a freaky stalker) She was so happy at how much progress he has made and was sad that she wouldn't have him any more since 5th grade is middle school for us.

I am having DS write her a letter and I know that will mean a lot to her, and I plan on writing a letter to her as well. Any other ideas...I was trying to think of a book that would be a good fit, but I can't think of one...maybe I could just get her a gift card to Barnes and Noble???
What about a nice Coffee mug from SF with DS note on it? And maybe a few bbw goodies or the GC inside?

B]caution: tiny rant coming on!!! [/B]

so the girl i was the moh for last summer (let's call her friend A) is the moh of our mutual friend's (which is a month after mine) and i am in her wedding (let's call her friend B). It was one of the hardest decisions i made to NOT have her as a bridesmaid. but with such close family i had no spots left without having a ridiculously huge wedding party. (ok so that whole part was somewhat irrelavant, but i am still having a hard time with it- so i justify it whenever i can... LOL ) anywho, friend A planned friend B's shower about 2 weeks before i even set my wedding date- when she KNEW we were trying to find a date that worked for EVERYONE- nevermind us. (which i somewhat feel guilty of bc i set my date after friend B, and only a month a part... but i justify that with that we have been engaged for 3 years) so now she is on a roll with this shower. N.O.W. :faint : this shower is in August, mind you. so, i am trying SO HARD to stay sane and helpful... let's not forget that i am planning my sister's shower at the moment (as you ALL KNOW! LOL)...DF is stressing to find a job AND have i mentioned how many coupons expired over the weekend?! :crying :

ok rant over... sorry i keep doing that here... i'll be back to my normal self soon! PROMISE!
Rant away love, that is what we are here for! hug heart hug

So Lily and I spent all afternoon and most of the evening yesterday at the dr/lab/pharmacy. My lil princess has an eye infection. It looked so bad yesterday, but is looking better today. Yesterday the exhaustion of the last 6 days caught with me and I was REALLY tired, but I didn't have time to nap with all that was going on. So this morning, I decided I was going to sleep and nurse Lily and that was it. It was a nice break and I fell 100% better. Then Lily took another nap and I did laundry! Big Grin Sad how happy being able to do laundry makes me.

My pain level is much better. I forget to take my pain meds half the time, which is good and bad. Good in that, I must be getting better bc if I wasn't the pain wouldn't let me forget. Bad in that I don't remember to take the meds until the pain is pretty bad and then it takes longer to work. Yes, most times nurses make the WORST patients! laugh out loud My incision is looking great though, so I am happy with the progress. Crazy to think that a week ago now, I was laying in a hospital bed with a few hour old baby and dealing with a hemorrhage! laugh out loud

Lily is still VERY alert which I love. She will just look around at everything and move her arms around. I love to just watch her!

She is a bit yellow and they were monitoring her bilirubin levels. She was 16.3 on Monday and 13.4 yesterday. They were happy with the decrease, so they said we don't have to keep checking it. woot We are just giving her time in the sun from inside the house. She loves laying in the sun, so that works well!

Sophia still needs to be watched with the eye of a hawk, as she is very 'excited to help.' Alexa is amazing with Lily. Lily just adores her sister and is almost always calm and quiet when Alexa holds her!

Speaking of Alexa, her play is this week and next and she has been VERY busy. Every school night for the last 2 weeks, she has been at school from 6-9 pm. Not only does she have a part in the play, she is also the "costume mistress" so she has to be there before everyone else and can't leave until all the costumes are returned and checked in with proper technique. The play starts tomorrow at 7 and she is not expected to be home until 10:30 pm and then is supposed to go to school on Friday am! EEK! Poor girl! She is excited and nervous at the same time. I told her she is going to do great! heart

J started a new Dojo for Kenpo this week. It was less expensive and gives him more hours than the one he was already going to. It is supposed to be 2 hours a time, 4 days a week, but we compromised at 2 hours a time 3 days a week, since his last one was only 4 hours a week. Before he was going Tue and Thur evenings and 2 hours in the middle of our Saturday. This way all his hours are done on weeknights (Tues - Thurs), but I get my weekends back with him! Worth it to me! I did let him know that since he will be gone all day and evening on Tues - Thurs, he needs to make sure to spend extra time with the kids (esp. Soph since she will be in bed by the time he gets home) on the other days. The new place also has a smaller class size, which is better for J as well.

Anyways, that is my family as of late. Sorry that my posts lately have turned into novels! EEK! I don't get much time to post, so when I do I go crazy!! Whee

OOH speaking of novels, I have only read a single page of my book (Songs of the Humpback Whale by Jody Piccoult) in over a week! Sadwalk Every time I go to read, I fall alseep. I hope this ends soon bc I want to finish this book! Also I heard the new Sookie Stackhouse book is out and I need to read that!! laugh out loud

Ariel - being a single parent night and day sucks, sounds like it was a compromise but still sucks for you ((hugs))

Aw, that's a bummer - I love that gift laugh out loud

Quote from L143smile :
you could photoshop her head on a perfect 20 year old cartoon body fishing at seaworld with a miller lite in her hand. she could have a "50" on her hook and it could say, "Even at 50, Kay (i'm guessing is her name) is still a great catch!" or you could put something like "50 is the new 20"

or you could put "even at 50 big mouthed bass still like my ass" and have a picture of shamu's behind...
LMAO You are pretty good at this, L

The letter from DS sounds really thoughtful. Sorry I don't have any good ideas to contribute......

Cute!!

Oh, that card sounds so sweet!

You are so thoughtful & talented!

All this teacher talk has me wondering - what do you guys do for teachers? I don't really want to get into buying "teacher" junk because I always thought teachers probably got so much of that crap that they just ended up throwing it away. I thought I would do a heartfelt card and wouldn't mind doing something with it but can't come up with an idea I like. Do you guys all give teacher gifts to the teachers every year? How about you teachers - do you like "teacher" gifts or to you get too much of that stuff and would rather get a heartfelt card and maybe a small gift certificate to the local snack or coffee shop? Also do the schools say that teacher's cannot accept gifts or is it usually just fine?

Glad to hear today is a little better Smilie
Great 50 ideas!!!!!
From the teacher's perspective, don't get teachers teacher stuff. I don't need anything that says "teacher" on it or is apple-shaped or whatever. But that's just me, I bet some teachers love it. Cards from parents or students or both are always my fave. I really do feel like the things I do go unnoticed most of the time, so when someone actually notices something positive, it feels so good to hear it from them. As for gifts, my faves are a GC to starbucks or anywhere for coffee or food (even if it's $5, still love it!). If you do a mug, I think making a cool one with the teacher's name or something you know she loves (for example, I would love a Canucks mug and my kids know I love hockey) would be fun to use at school. Or maybe a cute lunch bag, fun pens, etc Or something fun to celebrate summer (a new beach towel, flip flops, movie passes. etc.). Just some thoughts... We don't really get many gifts teaching junior high, so I am always jealous of those elementary teachers and their goodies.

One thing I used to do and haven't for a long time is to bring the teacher a meal. I did it during the teacher work days at the beginning of the year but would be appreciated anytime. I figured it was something to make their life easier. Not something they had to feel like they had to keep or display. I always like food items and GCs.

A car seat, somewhere to sleep, diapers, wipes and food is all they really care about...it's the love thing that takes care of everthing else! Enjoy the time you have with just 3 three of you right now. Not that having 4 will not be special, but don't let the things you think you have to do take away from the things you need to do right now...and that is taking care of yourself and the sweetiepie you already have at home!
Thanks to both of you. Just what I needed to hear. I'm not really stressed about it, but I just know I have some stuff to take care of. First, digging out the car seat, second, emptying out the cradle (which has made a great place to store things for the past 2 years), 3rd, washing some clothes for the new guy (even if they are pink Blush ).Other than that, things will just have to sort themselves out. The babe is doing great in her big girl bed. Now that we know that, I really need to move her clothes and stuff to her new room so I can start with boy stuff in the nursery. All in due time...

Also cute would be a note from you, special poem, or note from your son in a cute frame. Then, if she ever wants to use the frame for something else, she can just pull out the cute card and keep it in a scrapbook or something.

Is this not AWESOME?? Someone made my little man a quilt! I'm so thrilled and touched. Many, many thanks.

May the 4th be with you!

I had some fun the past few weeks with the student that I mentor. She is a senior this year and I took my camera one week and we walked around the school and she took pictures of things that were important to her...most of them were pictures of the teacher's names outside of their classrooms. We then made collages out of them and I just sent them off to Walgreens to get printed. That is going to be the present that I give her for graduation (we aren't supposed to "buy" our students things) and then I got 4x6 prints made for her to give to her teachers this week since it is teacher appreciation week. Kind of fun to do some photo projects again!
This is so sweet of you on so many levels. For her, for her teachers, etc. You are so thoughtful. nod

swagcode out!

One thing I used to do and haven't for a long time is to bring the teacher a meal. I did it during the teacher work days at the beginning of the year but would be appreciated anytime. I figured it was something to make their life easier. Not something they had to feel like they had to keep or display. I always like food items and GCs.
YES!!! Feed us! It's always a sure win! Email the day before and say I'd like to bring you lunch tomorrow and it doesn't have to be anything fancy. Even if someone packed me a sandwich and a fruit, I'd be thrilled! It's the thought that counts. I've also had a parent bring me a coffee treat in the morning, and that was really sweet too. Good idea, Chris!

So, here's my prego brain in full effect. I know I set up a bunch of T registries so I could go in and get the gift bags. But I can't for the life of me remember what addies I used. Seriously. I'm an idiot. Facepalm

I know food is great! We all need to eat. When I did it I brought it to school ready to bake. They just had to throw it in the oven and wait for it to cook. We have a little coffeeshop in town that I think it is for Valentines Day they sell deliveries. They get a desert and drink. I have done that too. Really, anything to make them feel special and thought of.

Happy Cinco de Mayo to you all! It is a rare day here .........The SUN is shining! It has rained here sooo long that my joints are squeaking. the grey days really are depressing. The grass in my backyard must be 10 inches long. DS is hoping to get my grass cut today but his own needs cut too! We need a good Ida so everyone gets back to posting on this forum. It is lonely here sometimes. Rise and shine everyone.......hearthearthughughearthug

I just wanted to let everyone know that at Wally and Target in the Star Wars toys there are $5 peelies. They are on the large helmuts and light sabres, and say "$5 off this Hasbro toy." These work on the Star Wars figurines, so I got the boys some figurines for $1.50! On Iron Men figurines I found $2 and $1 peelies. ... They are bright yellow and really easy to peel off! If anyone comes across the $5 ones, I would love to trade you for them!
Sounds like something GrSon would LOVE! Thanks!

Closing went well yesterday. Went straight to the new house with our cars full. Mine was full of diapers because I can't stand to pay for movers to move my free stash!! Sounds crazy to some but I am sure some of you understand. Smilie My DH struggled to carry me over the threshold but we managed. It was not pretty! I woke up tired but am ready to get this move over with!
Yeah for IN THE HOUSE!

So happy to hear this! I've been through a tornado and know how these people are feeling. Although the magnitude of the damage down there is much worse than what we experienced. I'll tell you one thing though, it certainly makes you count your blessings and makes you realize how life can change in an instance.

Bummer, sounds like a rough few days! Hope today was better for you!

Of course we missed you! Happy to hear you didn't have any tornado activity. Hope your medication has kicked in and you are feeling better.

We are collecting boxtops so if Davewex or Mustoffa aren't, I'd be happy to take them off your hands.

woot So exciting for you!!! LMAO about the threshold!

Busy last few days for me and busy upcoming week too. Dance recital last night and again this afternoon. DD did very well and had a good time. Will have to try to get some pictures posted on FB. Monday after work taking DS to the pediatrician in the city for his allergies. Wednesday evening preschool enrollment & information meetings. Friday evening DS parent teacher conference. One good thing for me though is this is my last week of classes for this semester! The break won't last long though because I've worked out a plan of attack and if I continue with 3 classes at a time I can be finished in December! I'm excited about that because I thought it would take me much longer. It will suck having that many classes this summer but I'll just have to keep telling myself that it is only for one year.

I have a prayer request. My best friend from high school that I am still very close with has learned that they believe she has a pituitary tumor. They said the majority of these tumors are not cancerous but there is still that possibility. She had some testing & an MRI this week and will meet with specialists next week to see what is next. She has two kids and is currently fostering two more (a 6 month and an 18 month old) that they hope to adopt so she really has her hands full right now. I know she could use all the prayers she can get so if you have a minute I would appreciate it.
Praying for her.

Hey all!I am home! We got home late last night (around 10:30 pm) and we got settled. The dr's were debating on whether to keep me and Lily for another day, but I begged to get to come home! I wanted to be back with my girls and family! heart I tried to sleep in my own bed last night, but that wasn't happening. Momma Junie and I ended up sleeping downstairs on the couches. I slept with the recliner, but since my incision is still so fresh, I can't put the foot rest back in. Hence why Momma Junie stayed downstairs with me. She is such a HUGE blessing! She stayed with me the whole time (even at nights) while in the hospital (J had to go back to work). I am soo very thankful!

Lily and I have been doing well today! She has been sleeping for 2-4 hours at a time, even at night. She is VERY alert when awake and calm and content! I hope this lasts! The dr. told me to wake her up every 2 hours to nurse during the day (every 3-4 hours at night) to make sure she doesn't lose too much weight. She was 7 lbs 10oz when we left the hospital, so that was only 8% of a loss, not so bad. My milk came in so she is one happy girl! She is a GREAT nurser, so I am a happy girl!

The rest of the family is adjusting to having a new baby. Soph is probably having the hardest time. She scared the crap out of me this morning when she walked up to Lily with a hairbrush (regular hard kind) hidden behind her back. I told her "NO!" just in time. We are really going to have to watch her closely with Lily (The day before she wanted to give Lily a fruit snack .

I am hoping to get J to do some cute pics of her tomorrow so that I can do the announcements! I would really like to get them done asap!

I got a "Chase gift card" today in the mail. It was addressed to me and says "welcome baby" on the card, but I have no clue who sent it! I wish I knew, but just in case it was someone in here,
She is just beautiful--I saw pics on FB. I'm so happy for all of you. Hopefully "Helpful Soph" will settle down!

Hello Everyone. We hit 30 weeks today! YIPPEEE!!! But if you've seen my FB, you know that I am freaking out over dh's trip to Morocco next month. Since this is a public forum, I can't get into specifics, but let's just say that when I found out that the trip as still on and work said he had to go, it was the angriest I've ever gotten at him (and you guys that know me well know that dh and I do not fight, and he's actually one of the most laid back people and caring dads/husbands ever)

He is up for tenure this year, and budget cuts are steep, so we are walking on pins and needles until that letter arrives. There was a terrorist bombing just a few days ago in a very popular cafe for tourists (dh had actually eaten there when he was there last time) but they are being assured that it was an isolated incident, and Morocco is actually very safe.

Not to mention that I will be 9 farking months pregnant next month, and Daniel came 3 weeks early, so there is a very good chance Maddie could come early. They are allowing him to cut his trip in half so there is no chance he will miss baby's birth, but we will still be gone 13 days, and not to sound selfish, but he really needs to be home taking care of his family and not in farking Africa. Sorry for the rant, but I've been so angry that I haven't even been able to talk about it, and now that this has happened, I'm close to going over the edge, and he has alot of colleagues and friends as my FB friends, so I can't really talk about it on FB. So farking angry at him right now.
Hugs and prayers for this.

More foster puppies at the grkids house! Picked them up yesterday--2 Great Pyrenees/German Shepard mix. So, much bigger than the last puppies. GrD is ecstatic!
Saw the FB pics of your puppies, so cute. Good thing I don't live near you!

Hmmm....

It's been crazy around here the past few days. I tried to skim the old posts this morning but am sure I missed alot. We're trying to get ready for a garage sale...yuk. Off to golf in a few minutes. Missed you guys!

Glad to see that Tn_Native was safe. I worried about Coachie, too. We were at Lake Texoma w/no internet and VERY LIMITED TV so I couldn't tell where the storms hit hardest. We went through the little town, Tushka, Oklahoma, that was hit the week before by a tornado. OMG, just devastating!
