SHUTTERFLY PRICING & SHIPPING

=======================================================================================
There are three types of Shutterfly coupon codes:

1 - Account Codes - Shutterfly adds a code to your account and, depending on your email preferences, emails you to alert you to the offer. This is not transferable - the offer is tied to that Shutterfly account.

Make sure you tell Shutterfly to email you and you won't miss any deals. If you find deals in your account that you did not see in email - check your preferences.

* Go to My Shutterfly
* Go to the bottom and click on Personal Info/Settings
* Click on change under Email Preferences
* Make sure that the first box is checked
* Save now

A recent development in the Shutterfly world, probably in response to all the selling on eBay and trading on forums like this, where the offer code is emailed to the customer AND they have to add it to their account - it is not always added automatically by Shutterfly. The codes are typically 6-8 characters and look exactly like the shareable codes -- but they will only work on the accounts that Shutterfly chose to email this offer to.

2 - Shareable Codes - Shutterfly has some codes that are offered to affiliates/partners. These coupons can be shared and used in multiple accounts (once per account). Examples of what these codes look like are NMSA-XXXX or WIXXER09.

3 - Unique One time use codes - Shutterfly also offers one time use codes, typically they are 18 alphanumeric characters long, that come with special offers. These codes may be emailed to you or included in a printed card when you get a Shutterfly shipment. They may be won via Shutterfly contests. They may come from Shutterfly or from partner offers. Often times you can see these codes being sold on eBay. Examples of what these codes look like XXXX-7H9P-EBFX-V39VEC.

===============================================================================================
Membership/Frequent Flier Programs
If you participate in these you may be able to get rebates or bonuses:

* Upromise - shop thru link and get 7% in your account - they often have other discounts as well
* eebates you can get a percentage of your order value credited (The program eebates has one less e, but if you type the real name this site will block it)
* Discover reward cards also give 5% back on shutterfly.com purchases when you shop thru their link - also you can use your Discover Cash Back to get $25 gift card to shutterfly for only $20 (comes in the mail - not instant)
* Northwest World Perks - earn 2 miles per $ when shop thru link on world perk website
* United Mileage Plus - earn 3 miles per $ when shop thru link on mileage plus website
* Delta Sky Miles - earn 10 miles per $ when shop thru link (plus earn 1000 miles until 12/31 when you spend $20 or more - see link at Sky Miles for more details)

Do any of you guys sew? I'm thinking about buying myself a sewing machine so I can make some stuff for the new house but I've never EVER used one before. Is it hard to learn?

My grandmother used to sew. I don't think it is all that hard, but you probably want to start small and then try more advanced techniques.

I never did anything other than hand sew. It's a very basic concept.

I just want to sew a straight line. I'm thinking that has to be easier than operating a D7000 in manual setting.

In other news... DH and I are now arguing about what a bunch of idiots his family is.... or at least that's my side of the story.

I think the biggest issue is adjusting the timing of you moving the material through the needle... but if I recall correctly, the machine basically moves it forward for you.

And I'm going to have to side with your hubby on this one...

OMG! I am in love with the Kindle. Downloaded a book with my Anmazon GC. It is such a pleasure to read now. I have always loved to read but lately with the cataract and arthritis, the pleasure wasn't much of a pleasure. Candy adjusted the screen with bigger letters(still can increase it several sizes) and holding a book and changeing pages is no longer painful. WOO-HOO!

Also found a case on ebay w a light for $12.99. I had gotten the light at Best Buy for $19.99 so it is going back. Can't believe I got the light, case and screen protector for $12.99.

This is a bit of a non-issue, but what type of camera did your daughter have again? I remember it was better than mine, but I don't recall which one.
Canon Rebel XSI. We were talking last night in BB, when we were buying the Kindle, that you just can't keep up with everything. As soon as you buy the "latest" model, they come out with a better one. BTW they opened a HT(?) Gregg next door to Kohls here. Haven't been in it yet. The Grand Opening is June 9th.

Yeah, but they also have a soft grand opening, so you might be able to go in right now just to look around. I'm not sure if they will have full stock, but if so, she might be able to upgrade if she wants.

I posted this in a thread and people have gotten some great deals either by price matching at best buy or getting it directly at HH.

I think it is only yall and molly's mom out in Pitt. But again, if they have stock, there are some great deals on DSLR cameras to be had.

And as far as keeping up with stuff, it really helps to be a slick dealer. The price I pay for new stuff is usually in the ball park of what people are willing to pay for used after 1 or 2 years. So I've been able to build upward with my camera stuff; I've been pretty pleased with my progress.

I initially had:

Canon XS
75-300mm

Sold the 75-300mm for $100

Bought:

Canon T1i 55-250 and sold the camera. Basically got the 55-250 for 40 bucks and elbow grease which is a great deal.

Bought the 60D along with the 18-135mm

Now I'm selling the 18-135mm and the Canon XS body (hopefully soon so Kate doesn't freak out).

And after all is said and done, I will only have put out about $100 in my own money towards the whole chabang. I'm not counting grandma money... which is always helpful.

The problem I'm going to have going forward is that it is a much bigger leap to continue climbing the ladder. The really nice lenses are over a grand, and the upgrade in bodies (which I won't do for quite a while (at least 2.5 years)) is around 1500.

So I think I might have hit a plateau for a lil while. Dang dang dang.

Hey guys, if you have a moment, can you look at my photo album here [facebook.com] and give opinions. I played with some actions and I need to hear some outside info (besides all the voices in my head Wink) and would really appreciate you all if you could help out!

I used to sew. If all you want to do is a straight line get a used not fancy machine. It will work just fine.

That's true. Some of the new machines are designed to do fancy stitching automatically. That seems unnecessary to pay for the bells and whistles.

Good Sunday Morning! Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. DD got a bonus in her paycheck Friday for not having any errors for 6 months. It was totally unexpected and she bought me a Kindle. I am so excited. We got it last night but haven't done anything with it. She went to spend the night at my DS and Dil's house. They went to Branson, Mo for a family reunion with her parents. DD is babysitting my Furgrandbabies until Wednesday. She will come home during the day and will sleep there with the furbabies.Pets are wonderful but are hard during vacations.
Anyway, any tips or suggestions for the Kindle. I was shocked at the cover prices and I said I would get one on Amazon. They have a Steeler one for $24.95 and that is the one I am leaning toward. Can't believe a cover costs that much. What about books? Any suggestions?
Well it is Sunday and time to Rise and Shine and Give God Glory
Wow, what a good DD you have! I'm sure you will enjoy your kindle! Don't have one but friends that do LOVE them! My DS would like one so may have to save swagbucks up for XMAS. And, speaking of swagbucks, there's a code out:
for 3 Swag Bucks choose:

ObamaRound1 OR CharlesRound1
For 3 more Swag Bucks choose:

JimBobRound1 OR OzzyRound1
(Enter your two choices in the "Gimme" box on the Swagbucks homepage by 2pm PDT.)

I need some help and guidance if possible.

I want to buy an Ipad for a joint gift for Me and Father's Day.

I have to buy it from Amazon and I want it by Tuesday before I leave.

I really just need a basic as I already have a lappy, netbook, mp3 and kindle.

I really just want it for quickie email, maybe a few games, a little music and/or movie or two.

What should I buy that's the cheapest right now to buy still a decent one. Do I really need an Ipad2 or can I just go with the original
I'm thinking you already have this answered! I have the original IPad and love it. I went with the 16GB with 3G capability but haven't used the 3G yet (haven't paid for the plan)...and now that I've got the IPhone, I probably won't need to so just wasted some money on "upgrading" to the IPad with that capability. Oh well...$ in $ out! I have definitely enjoyed taking the IPad with me and using WIFI at different places. I think you will love it!
