No. I don't have a "current" Rx and I didn't know if they would check with optomitrist. Alos I think there's probably an upcharge for my high Rx.

They never have with my contacts. You just put in the Dr info and they seem to charge and ship long before they could have made a call.

Probably not a big upcharge, a few bucks at most (one of wifey's eyes costs extra because of that). And I think it's pretty unlikely that they'll call anyone to check.

SPH or CYL? Either way, I've not used Coastal, but putting in -20 and -6 on Zenni only bumps up the cost by $9 (and we've ordered probably 15 pairs of glasses from them over the last few years). Their CYL doesn't go past -6 so hopefully it's not that one laugh out loud
SPH goes to -20.

The last time I got new glasses I bought one pair of wire frames and she recommended ultralight lenses and one pair of plastic faux tortiseshell with regular lenses. The regular lenses aren't that bad in the heavier frames but I do see her point about them not working in the wires frames.

Yeah they are not really noticeable in my thick frames but in thin frames they would look terrible laugh out loud

You made me get up and look.
-5.5 sph -1.75 cyl (astigmatism)
-6.5 sph (regular)
So maybe I will order a pair just to see. I saw a frame I liked a few days ago but was hesitant to order glasses online (I even pinned it on Pinterest). But for free I'll try them out.

I'm mobile so I can't snag it off my Pinterest. They're tortoise again but slighty cat-eye shaped.

ETA- I need to measure the size of my current frames to see if the ones I think I want are a similar size.
