i will definitely research this wknd. i have to get one asap. just too much rain!!!
thank you for the love, encouragement, prayers in your posts. i read, i got caught up, but didn't get a chance to multi-quote.
UPDATE:
just returned from a 4 hour excursion to go see pain specialists.
good news: i WILL heal completely eventually, they say.
bad news: it will take time and is a slow process.
their conclusion: i have multiple nerve injuries. nerves take time to heal. upwards of a year. we're at 9 months. several more months to go.
fun times.
but I am grateful that they see healing for me, cos the other docs said I may never regain full functionality, i may never again be without pain. so, I'll take the pain clinic's vision over the other ones any day. a hope at a time is how one goes, right?
thank you to each of you for your prayers, love, support, and encouragement over these last 9 months. There have been many days where I got through the days because of the friendship of my SD clan - people I've never met but with whom I share a strong human connection. my heartfelt thanks to each of you.
I went to the allergist today and had a blast (ha ha ha). I have to go back next friday for a 2 & 1/2 hours of venom testing. That should be a fun day.
The odd thing was that I did not react to any of the foods they tested, nor did I react to any trees (which he thought I would because of the food allergies.) He said I likely had OAS (oral allergy syndrome) with the foodstuffs and that I should avoid eating them raw for sure. He said I could still have a life threatening reaction from it.
I reacted to all the grasses, some pollens, dust, weeds, mold, cats, & dogs. There may have been something else, but that's plenty enough to make me miserable thank-you-very-much.
I am definitely going to go for the venom testing and shots when they figure out which ones I am for sure allergic to. I do not need to be keeling over dead because I get a bee sting in my yard!
They did give me an epi-pen RX - which I definitely needed since mine expired about, oh... 4 years ago or so.
Man, I feel like i'm getting old. lol
Other news...
My little baby girly turned 1 on 8/24. I can hardly believe it's been a full year. She's just growing like a weed and becoming soooooo big. She's learning new words and has a little temper. She's very laid back compared to my almost-4-year-old though!
In-laws are coming on the 24th of this month, and I'm trying to preplan meals and such. I don't know why, but I kind of feel nervous. LOL.
My oldest is set on going to cosmetology school (so far... lol - she's still got 3 years or so before going) i think she'll do well at it, but I would also love to see her in some photography classes. She's so good at it with just a point and shoot - I can't imagine what she'd be like with some learning and a proper camera.
Well... that's that for now. I know I'm forgetting stuff, but I'll be back to ramble when I remember.
So you did it and got away with it, for goodness sake's don't post about it on here.
And I guess what got me was that the OP, with all her supposed 'law' and LP knowledge knew very well what she was doing. What she does is her business until she posts about it on here. I, for one, am loving WM cpn policy and would like to see it stay this way for awhile.
I really just wanted to hear her 'reasoning' for why it was ok. Cause I am sure it would have been a bunch of BS.
and by a targeteer who took a picture at target but didn't even buy them.
funny how all the walmart regulars all of a sudden disappeared from posting. funny how they haven't had anything to say or pictures to post when b4 they were so stridently proclaiming their proper behavior.
gg- i think you got excellent news today! there is hope and light at the end of the tunnel.
ank- yuck on the allergies. i remember my brother getting tested and allergic to everything, trees, grass, horses, dust, dander, etc and getting shots sometimes twice a wk. bummer on the peaches and cherries cuz they are some of my favorites.
amazing how time flies.
everyone, have a great wknd. i'm hoping it doesn't rain too much. enough already!
stunning bright blue cloudless september skies here with beautiful sunshine, but you can feel the bite in the air already. definitely feels like summer made a quiet exit amidst the days of rain and fall has arrived.

i dread the thought of another 6-8, however many months of pain and immobility and relearning of every movement, and rebuilding of muscles.
but then i think of the alternative and i am very grateful.
a friend's mother once told me something her Rabbi had taught her, that "hope is the greatest thing we have as humans. without hope, we are nothing, without hope life is nothing"
i often turn to those words in challenging moments in my life. and i remind myself that hope is a reflection of our faith in a greater power that watches over us.
so with hope i travel. and i hope one day soon to tell you guys that i am pain free, and moving, walking, dancing, hiking, biking, rollerblading and running again normally.
