saw movie preview for Moneyball yesterday w/ brad pitt based on a true story about a manager that tries to build a cheap winning team based on player's statistics rather than spending lots of money getting the best players. bargain hunting instead of paying full price so sometimes you have to compromise like not buying your favorite brand.
there was a cute approx 12yr old who is supposed to be his daughter who briefly sings and plays the guitar w/ a very sweet voice and closes the movie w/ her singing. this time i did not burst into tears but i'm getting a bit choked up right now. i don't want to give it away but at the end you find out what a good dad he is. it's a cute, sweet movie and if you know a little bit about baseball, i would recommend seeing it. it's definitely not a movie for little kids, maybe teen and older. not b/c of foul language, violence or nudity, but b/c it's a slow-moving human interest story that they would probably be totally bored by in the first 15 minutes.
b4 the movie went to the target across the way. this is a kinda strange store, did not have any back to college anywhere last month but a huge very full womens clothing section. just a few pieces of missoni left in each dept except toddler and girls where almost the full rack was still there.
there was a woman who came into the store a few minutes after me and started grabbing whatever was left. she kept consulting her smartphone, so i knew she was a reseller. she grabbed whatever cosmetic bags were left, picture frames, the last shawl, etc. i think i saw a bunch of towels in her cart but don't think those were missoni. she also checked out the toddler rack. i wanted to get a closer look at her cart but didn't want to be so obviously nosy.
